Abuelita's - Carte

What an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We sampled four different stews, and each one was delicious. The salsa and topping bar also exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to return very soon!

I was born and raised in the Philippines and this place tastes more like home than any other restaurant in all of Richmond. The pork+potato and the cactus stews are amazing. The customer service is also amazing. Don't put off coming here.

The food was incredibly tasty, and the restaurant had a fresh and tidy look. There were many customers, which shows how popular it is. I definitely intend to go back. Awesome authentic Mexican food in a clean and cute atmosphere with great service. We sampled a variety of the stews, which they rotate, and decided on the chicken tinga and the pork and cactus. Both were delicious and we ordered the plate with rice and beans, which came with tortillas to build your own tacos. We will definitely be back!

A friend recently introduced me to Abuelita's, and I must say, they set a very high standard. I’m now a fan! The food is authentic and delicious, with a rotating selection of stews. Everything is fresh, made with high-quality ingredients. Additionally, the staff is outstanding and very helpful. I’ve dined in and also ordered takeout, both of which were great experiences. If you haven't tried it yet, you're really missing out!

There are simply no words to describe this place. I had two random patients telling me about this place and it felt like the universe would send me here. I'm so glad I listened. I'm addicted now. I have the Quesabirra Tacos and they were on the spot! Absolute perfection. You can taste the love these guys put in their food. The salsa bar? the kindness? the cleanliness? I can't say that. This is my new way to the Mexican joint. Love, love, love! And did I mention that they have Ramen Birra?! You don't have to fly to Texas!

Words can't fully capture how incredible this restaurant is. After hearing about it from two different patients, it felt like fate was directing me here, and I'm so glad I followed that instinct. I'm officially hooked! I tried the quesabirria tacos and they were absolutely perfect. You can really taste the care and passion the chefs put into their food. The salsa bar? The friendly staff? The cleanliness? I honestly can't find anything to complain about. This has become my new favorite Mexican spot! I absolutely love it! And did I mention they have Ramen Birria? No need to travel all the way to Texas for this anymore!

Very very nice place. Local spot. It is a rose in a bush of thorns. The area around the restaurant has fallen on hard times. As you drive to the restaurant you see the falling businesses in the area. Then you come upon the Abuelita?s and it is well represented. Clean out side, parking lot well lite and maintained. No one hanging around outside. Once you go inside the restaurant, the staff is quick to greet you and tell how to ordering works. My wife and I had a fantastic meal. The food is hot hot and tasty. The staff are constantly on the floor mopping, sweeping and quick to pick up the dishes. I got the small plate and almost could not finish it. We look forward to going back. Just make sur...
