The food was outstanding, and the service was friendly and top-notch. We dined here twice during our stay in Santa Barbara and enjoyed fantastic meals on both occasions. The butter chicken was incredible, and the lamb chops were simply outstanding. Although I can't recall the names of every dish we tried, everything was excellent. The wine list featured a wide selection of natural wines, and the two we sampled were very enjoyable.

I appreciate and respect all of your restaurant's policies. However, when we entered through the back gate, there were no signs indicating that it was closed. What concerns me is the way one of your staff members reprimanded us, which made us feel like we were being treated like children. As I mentioned, we were unaware that entering the restaurant that way was an issue. I think it’s important to consider how we were approached in this situation.

This is the first Indian restaurant I've tried in Santa Barbara, so I can't make any comparisons just yet. The service was better than average, and the food was quite good. I was advised not to miss the cauliflower and butter chicken, and they definitely lived up to the hype. The garlic naan was just okay; it could have benefited from a bit more ghee and garlic. However, the wine selection was impressive, especially if you're interested in a wide variety of organic wines from the Central Coast.

On my first visit, we sat indoors, but the electronic dance music was so loud that we had to shout to hold a conversation. I decided to give it another chance yesterday evening and sat outside, but the music was still excessively loud. While the food was enjoyable, I don't think I'll return. I don't mind noise when I'm attending a show, but for a dinner experience, it's important to be able to talk comfortably.

We had no idea the restaurant was closed since we are unfamiliar with the area. Because of this experience, we’ve decided to exclude this place from our list of potential dining spots on our trip. In response to the owner: I completely understand the importance of following rules and have no issue with that. However, what I cannot accept is the way your employee treated us. As I mentioned, we had no knowledge that we were entering a closed establishment, especially since we came in through a back gate that had no signage. I gave it another shot last night and opted for outdoor seating, but the music outside was still unexpectedly loud. While everything we tried was delicious, I don’t think I’ll return because the noise makes it difficult to enjoy a meal. I don't mind loud music when I'm at a concert, but for dining, it's important to be able to converse comfortably.

The food is tasty, but it seems pre-prepared. Our dishes arrived in under 10 minutes after ordering, and they didn’t allow for any substitutions, which was pretty clear. If you plan on having dinner later, be prepared to wait 3-4 hours, especially if it's made right before your meal. Most wines are only available by the bottle, which isn't ideal if your group doesn't want the same wine. The only pinot available by the glass was decent for a natural wine. Overall, the food tasted good initially but didn’t settle well. I believe anything over $12 should be made to order. Consider this place decent for fast food delivery, but not worth dining in.
