"The food was tasty, but it felt a bit pre-packaged. Our dishes arrived in under 10 minutes after ordering, and we weren't allowed to make any substitutions, which was quite obvious. If you're aiming for a later dinner, be ready to wait 3-4 hours for freshly prepared meals. Most of the wine selection is only available by the bottle, which can be a hassle if your table wants different options. The only wine offered by the glass was a pinot, and while it was a decent natural wine, it was the only choice available. Overall, the food was enjoyable at first, but didn't sit well afterward. For anything over $12, I expect dishes to be made from scratch. Think of this place more as a quick takeout option rather than a fulfilling dine-in experience."

This meal was fantastic! The atmosphere was relaxed, and the wine list was extensive, featuring both local and international options. The service was friendly and laid-back. Every dish we tried was excellent, and you won't be disappointed with anything you order.

We had an outstanding experience at this restaurant, enjoying both the food and the friendly service. During our stay in Santa Barbara, we visited twice and had fantastic meals on both occasions. The butter chicken was absolutely delightful, and the lamb chops were exceptional. Although I can't remember the names of every dish we ordered, everything we tried was remarkable. The wine selection featured a wide range of natural wines, and the two we sampled were excellent.

This is the first Indian restaurant I've tried in Santa Barbara, so I can't make any comparisons just yet. The service was better than average, and the food was quite good. I was advised not to miss the cauliflower and butter chicken, and they definitely lived up to the hype. The garlic naan was just okay; it could have benefited from a bit more ghee and garlic. However, the wine selection was impressive, especially if you're interested in a wide variety of organic wines from the Central Coast. View menu

This is the first Indian restaurant I've tried in Santa Barbara, so I can't compare it to others just yet. The service was better than average, and the food was quite good. I was advised to try the cauliflower and butter chicken, and they definitely lived up to the recommendation. The garlic naan was just okay; it could have used more ghee and garlic for extra flavor. However, the wine selection was impressive, especially if you're interested in a wide array of organic wines from the Central Coast.

The Indian food here is quite good, complemented by a nice selection of wines available for purchase. The lamb chops are among the best I’ve ever tasted, and the curry had the perfect level of spice. The service was also prompt, with our food arriving quickly. However, I found the prices to be on the higher side—$16 for an appetizer, $23 for butter chicken, and an additional $5 each for basmati rice and five cubes of paneer. Perhaps I’m just used to more affordable options in Southern California. On a positive note, there’s a charming private outdoor patio in the back.

This restaurant serves fantastic food. I’ve been here twice, and my main concern has been the atmosphere. During my first visit, we ate indoors, and the electronic dance music was playing so loudly that we could hardly have a conversation without shouting. I decided to give it another shot last night and chose an outdoor table, but to my surprise, the music outside was still pretty loud. The food was excellent, but the noise really takes away from the experience for me. I enjoy loud music at concerts, but when I’m dining, I’d rather be able to have a comfortable conversation. We had no idea the restaurant was closed since we are unfamiliar with the area. Because of this experience, we’ve decided to exclude this place from our list of potential dining spots on our trip. In response to the owner: I completely understand the importance of following rules and have no issue with that. However, what I cannot accept is the way your employee treated us. As I mentioned, we had no knowledge that we were entering a closed establishment, especially since we came in through a back gate that had no signage. It seems you may have overlooked the part about the poor treatment we received.

The food is tasty, but it seems pre-prepared. Our dishes arrived in under 10 minutes after ordering, and they didn’t allow for any substitutions, which was pretty clear. If you plan on having dinner later, be prepared to wait 3-4 hours, especially if it's made right before your meal. Most wines are only available by the bottle, which isn't ideal if your group doesn't want the same wine. The only pinot available by the glass was decent for a natural wine. Overall, the food tasted good initially but didn’t settle well. I believe anything over $12 should be made to order. Consider this place decent for fast food delivery, but not worth dining in.

"THE BEST EMPANADAS ! After our almost one week vacation in Cambria my wife and I decided to make a stopover in Santa Barbara on the way home. A good reason to have dinner and then breakfast at two of our fav spots. Soon after getting settled in our casita at The Eagle Inn we headed straight here to buy some delicious Empanadas.....the best Empanadas we have ever enjoyed ! No problem scoring a parking spot on their small private lot at around 6.30pm. A very pleasant cashier named Florencia helped us with our dinner order at the service counter. We both ordered COMBOS...2 Empanadas side of choice and 3 Empanadas side of choice. My wife chose 1 x Pollo Pulled free-range Mary's chicken, onions and bell peppers , 1 x Serrano Prosciutto ham, mozzarella, garlic, wild arugula and a side of Chimi Papas Chimichurri oven roasted potatoes, spices, topped with aioli sauce . I selected 1 x Carne Sunfed Ranch grass-fed ground beef, onions, bell peppers, green olives and free-range hard-boiled egg , 1 x Serrano, 1 x Hongas Crimini mushrooms, organic spinach, caramelized red onions, mozzarella and a side of Chimi Papas. On any other day in warmer weather we probably would have dined here but it was getting late and the weather was pretty lousy. PRETTY QUICK ! There were a couple of walk-in pickups while we waited but apart from that it was pretty quiet. Florencia neatly packed our dinner order into take-out boxes and placed them on the counter. We paid and headed back to home base....The Eagle Inn. By 7pm we had it all ready to eat on the little table in our courtyard. Of course I brought my own beer to enjoy with dinner. WHAT CAN I SAY ! When you buy the best Empanadas you can't go wrong. I personally loved the Carne the best and the Serrano is always a winner but trust me they are all great. The delicious Chimi Papas with the provided side sauces tasted fabulous. VERY HARD TO BEAT !"
