"This restaurant has great reviews, it is split between the tavern and a separate restaurant which features fine dining. We decided to try the tavern, which one of the staff had recommended us to actually check out Appalachian brewing instead? stating we would not care for the atmosphere. When we got there, everything looked nice. The hostess asked us to follow her and we proceeded down two sets of stairs into an underground cellar environment. It was extremely tight, like eating with other individuals not in your party tight. Myself and my husband would have been placed arm and arm with another couple already enjoying their meal. We ended up excusing ourselves and said the good reviews are not worth having additional date night members. Way too many people stuffed in a dark cellar environment, we did end up taking the employee recommendation and went to Appalachian brewing and it was delicious and priced right with more then enough room to spread out and not have dinner with people you don’t know."

Went for dinner, we had to wait for about one hour because it was very busy for the dinner service It was worth the wait the food was delicious. The service was out standing. I would suggest making reservations if you want to get in quickly. Voir le carte

Amazing historical venue and mini museum that can be visited while you wait. You can’t call to reserve a table in the basement tavern but after 5pm you can reserve a table for their upstairs seating area. Great location, ambiance, service and food. We were happy to be able to get reservations and were not disappointed. Friendly staff and amazing food. I had the onion soup (really worth it) and prime rib. The pecan pie really topped off the evening. Probably the best pecan pie I have ever had.
