"A friend and I just finished doing the Macedonia Brook Loop Trail (highly recommend! and we were ravenous with hunger! We totally lost track of time and found ourselves stuck in that window of time between lunch and dinner that’s a big ? In regards to the kitchen being open or not. Clearly they were between lunch and dinner service and the place was empty aside from a patron sitting at the bar. As soon as an employee noticed us they were very pleasant and didn’t blink an eye inviting us to chose a table of our liking. No sooner did we break the ice with the server in regaling then with our hiking travails and asserting how hungry we were it seemed that ice water was already being poured into pristine glasses! We quickly put in an order, including a freshly made table side Cesar salad for 2 (highly recommend ! Everything came out quickly, cooked just right and well presented! I love the rustic ambience of this place! Rustic yet complimented with white linen table compliments! Thank you for greeting us with such warmth and for the wonderful food and service! It’s not lost on me in this era of often-times lackluster attention to customer service and details! Service: 5 Location: 5"

We had a wonderful experience dining at the restaurant during our stay at the Cornwall Inn. The food and cocktails were fantastic, and the service was excellent.

Both the food and service were very good. The place could use a little sprucing up, but it's in a great location. We had the crab cakes, the salmon dinner, and raspberry cobbler for dessert. They were all spot on.

One of the nicer, if albeit pricier, restaurants in the charming little town of Kent. Live jazz piano most nights. The menu is solid if a little dated, but sometimes thats what you need. Loved the music and service was excellent. Great drinks. I can see why they have a strong following, wish i took more photos. Voir le carte

I will say, first I am not a regular at the Fife, but had been there several times over many years always to a satisfying meal. Now having recently moved within a 10 minute drive was hoping to visit more. My hopes were dashed. My wife I received sluggish service and ordered a total of 6 dishes, (most returned) and all except the Onion Soup falling short.

I stayed at the guest house for two nights and although the room was modest and small, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were professional and attentive. I had dinner at the restaurant and thought the food was excellent. I highly recommend trying the steak au poivre, prepared table side, which is a rare find. The staff at the restaurant were warm and welcoming, especially the owner Alissa, who is beautiful. I definitely want to return.
