Started with excellent roasted onion soup, flat bread and humus spread, well crafted cocktail. Proceeded to perfunctory service, incredibly long wait for main course, and over salted preparation.

We had a fabulous meal. The chicken and pork were excellent. Also we loved the pasta. And the Brussels sprouts were amazing. The restaurant itself was lovely and the staff was friendly. I will definitely be back. Also a great place to eat before rushing off to the theatre.

Restaurant week! menu wine pairing. Service was great — seated quickly in a dining room that was filling up with other Restaurant Week diners. Some highs some lows on the menu. High: aged steak. Low: overall saltiness. The Gibson has a beautifully appointed interior— be sure to carefully view the gorgeous mural on the ceiling! All in all a good experience. Voir le carte

Food was quite bad actually. Scallops had a strong fishy smell, salmon was overcooked and tiny seriously, like a tapa portion, and duck fat potatoes were undercooked seriously that’s like the easiest thing to get right, and duck had a texture like it had been frozen then thawed in a microwave. The bread pudding dessert and cocktails were great though.I’d come for cocktails and skip the food entirely

The food and service are stars. The scallop appetizer was actually very delicious. We like the crunchy quinoa and smoked beets both elevated the complexity of the dish. Scallops are both perfectly cooked. Then, we had sole and halibut for the entrees. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist. Unfortunately, the fish did not have flavor and the halibut came in the bowl. It was so hard to cut the fish. The restaurant had around tables, a private dining room and a bar. However, there was only one, or maybe two, waiter on the floor. The waiter tried to cover everything but not sufficient. The floor manager worked at the bar half of the time. Gibson is in a hotel near the hotelshopping district of downtown so I guess they think the prices are warranted, but for me it seemed a bit steep. The food was tasty and on the salty side which I personally like, but if you don't beware! They were playing really interesting versions of old rock standards so my boyfriend was happy with the ambiance. But here's why we LOVED it the service was incredibly good. Sadly, I don't remember our servers name a blond woman who was helpful without hovering, gave honest advice about the menu and was thoughtful and, well, wonderful. We had the ravioli, the scallops, a salad and the fried chicken which was fab! More like roasted boneless with some sort of c... Voir le carte
