"This is the perfect restaurant for a pre-dinner show when you go to The Warfield, The Curran or in our case the ACT. We had a 6pm dinner reservation and finished our 3 course Prix Fixe meal at 7:40 for a fast two block walk to the Geary Theatre. The food, ambience, experience and service were delightful. I couldn't believe it wasn't packed (Covid , which is why I wrote this review. This restaurant is attached to a boutique hotel and the ceiling is high and the tables are well spaced. I felt very sure about Covid, although we don't eat outside. This dining room is also perfect for a big party. You can take large groups. I was in Per Se, Meadwood and other fine restaurants. I thought that was a perfect, casual restaurant with great food and service. Very recommended. The homemade bread was also incredible, and I'm not a bread man!"

Great food and very close to the Golden Gate and Orpheum Theaters. Martinis were excellent but a little bit on the small side for the cost. A bit pricey but a check-in discount on Yelp made it a good value.

Service was excellent, menu is not extensive but everything we had was absolutely delicious, as were our cocktails. Location is convenient to Powell St. BART station, and near the Golden Gate Theater which made it easy to make it to our show on time, too

$65 for the tasting menu....what for a deal! Not a Dud among the courts. Tell your server what you want to eat in any case, and the cook will make sure you get it as part of your tasting menu. My favorite dish was the roasted carrot with carrots and pine nuts. Food is good, but the service is not. Wine map with French and American wines. Beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen....will def ask for a table overlooking the kitchen next time! View menu

Was a bit nervous once I saw the drink menu and in the back of it the restaurant menu. A lot less than I read in past reviews and is why I decided to drinkdine at the restaurant. The bartender, and seemed part time waiter, was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the drinks served. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. When asked about his favorites on the menu, he answered honestly. We had the deviled eggs, roasted potatoes the hollandaise sauce was divine, homemade spaghetti with crab and shrimp and the ribeye pork chop. All outstanding meals. The tres leches sundae and chocolate whiskey ended the evening well. We will definitely be back

The food and service are stars. The scallop appetizer was actually very delicious. We like the crunchy quinoa and smoked beets both elevated the complexity of the dish. Scallops are both perfectly cooked. Then, we had sole and halibut for the entrees. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist. Unfortunately, the fish did not have flavor and the halibut came in the bowl. It was so hard to cut the fish. The restaurant had around tables, a private dining room and a bar. However, there was only one, or maybe two, waiter on the floor. The waiter tried to cover everything but not sufficient. The floor manager worked at the bar half of the time.
