"One star for terribly rude and offensive service. I specified twice that I did not want my pizza warmed yet they still heated my pizza. I was confused as to why I had to wait for cold pizza so I asked again for my pizza. I’m a regular and usually they just pull the pizzas directly from the case and hand it to you if you’re warming it up at home. The person serving me, with her back turned towards me, told her coworker that I messed up and asked to have my pizzas warmed. I corrected her to say, no, I did not. She still had her back to me. I repeated myself and still she ignored me, kept her back towards me, and pretended I wasn’t there. It’s no big deal to me that they warmed up my pizza but what I can’t stand is the level of disrespect. Talking about me while I’m standing there and lacking the decency to face me. Please do better. This is my go-to pizza joint but no pizza, no matter how delicious, is worth the disrespect."

My salad was not delivered! The Avocado Arugula Salad is the best. And I was very disappointed to not receive it! The pizza was good as usual.

Very good and reasonably priced slices, definitely worth dropping in. The only downside is they currently don't have indoor seating so either grab and go or snag an outdoor bench. Voir le carte

Absolutely phenomenal. The Salsiccia is off the charts delicious. There arent enough superlatives to do Gioia justice. Easily the best NY style pizza in the East Bay. Cant recommend highly enough.

The Gioia Chopped Salad was outstanding!! The garlic vinegarette is a galic loves dream come true. I ordered the Salsiccia with out the jalapenos and it was delicious. The best pizza in the bay are!

Delicious! A MUST try if you’ve never had. Small, quaint little spot. Pizza is amazing. My New York hubby approves. External environment leaves a bit to be desired, at no fault of GIOIA’s. Parking can be tough. Voir le carte

I love Gioia, but this was a sad experience. Pizza was very overbaked, and ceasar salad was a mound of romaine plus a cup of Parmesan and cup of "dressing". Better that they dont do delivery anymore. What a waste of $50. Good bye gioia.

This is amazing pizza. BUT we ordered with Calabrian chilis and we were charged but did not receive. Beware of add on orders. The pizza from Gioia is soooo good but its a shame to not have the order right and pay for those extra toppings.
