"I literally worshiped this restaurant (where I was with my family) which is an explosion of colors in the historical center of napoli, in the street of the courts, almost in front of the church of the gerolomini from which it takes its name and a few steps from the only Italian work of the street artist most famous in the world: the Madonna with the gun' of bansky, re-proposed in pop key on the walls of the local faith as a tribute to this symbol of the contradictory and complex city of the the local is treated in every detail and exudes love for this wonderful, but difficult city. the devotion to the historical heart of napoli is evident in every element of furniture, which recalls traditions, places and culture of the Neapolitan by filtering them with a pop lens, young and dynamic, like the staff that manages it. the bell with its aromas and its truest flavors is felt in the dishes proposed, dressing trendy but obsquious dresses of tradition. among the best dishes ever tasted on the podium there are the polypettes with tomato, capers, olives and bread chips to the black of sepia from the name all partnopeo: o'purpetiell. two first to try are the pop spaghetti, with double tomato of the yellow and red vesuvius dish and the spaghetti with the flower, with a cream with pumpkin flowers and clams. the cooking of the pasta is as a rule of art and the condiments very balanced and adjusted. the tuna is soaked in the mouth and the consistency contrasts pleasantly with that of the crispy bean to the side dish. portions are abundant so we could not eat dessert unfortunately. but this is an extra reason to return and I hope very soon. we met this trattoria thanks to the fork. is located in a central position almost in front of the entrance of underground napoli is furnished with very particular objects. ..even the menus are pop . but we come to the food we ate 2 first good and a dish of good quality marinated raw, unfortunately the apple-shaped dessert was finished then I recommend to book it.

We made a 7pm Christmas dinner reservation at I Gerolomini weeks in advance based on consideration of location, menu and ambiance. We received confirmation of our reservation and a reminder the day before. We arrived on time but the restaurant was NOT OPEN! We waited 15 minutes in the cold in fancy dresses in case they were getting ready to open but no one was there. We then could not find a place to eat Christmas dinner and eventually got bad pizza and took it back to our room. Not sure if this was Open Tables screw up or the restaurant but So disappointing!
