"I don't review food items hardly ever but here we go. Ordered here for delivery first time today. Delivery was fine. The food however I expected to be very good judging by the reviews but I wasn't very impressed. First I've never seen egg rolls as small as the ones here. I mean they are index finger size. 8 of them fit in a tiny container if that gives a clue. Ordered Mongolian beef it had about a cup plus of watery liquid at least in the container. Beef was fairly good but just a watery mess. I don't know what kind of batter is used on the crab Rangoon or on the sweet and sour chicken but it leaves a bitter taste. So tried this place once and that will be it. You might have a better experience try it and see. Apparently from the glowing reviews alot of people like it. I just wasn't impressed for the amount of money they are charging for the quality of food."

"We 've been hearing great things about Sherry 's and had to try it; AWESOME down home cooking! Everything is scratch made and fresh. Very few places serve chicken livers, so I had to try them; best I 've ever had, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. My wife has chicken and dressing and said it 's the best she 's ever had. We split a blueberry cobbler and again, the best we 've ever had. Staff is friendly, restaurant is very clean. An overall very good experience and well be back."

"The Veggie Delight, loaded with a variety of fresh vegetables and large chunks of chicken, was perfect and left me with enough for another meal the next day. The others at our table ordered Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp and Chicken, as well as Pad Thai, and everyone was pleased with their choices. We all ended up taking leftovers home! The service was excellent; our server was attentive, the restaurant was clean, and everything was served quickly. A nice touch was that as soon as we sat down, the server brought us a small cup of Coconut Tofu Soup to try. It was perfectly seasoned and something I would love to order on my next visit. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!"

"We always enjoy going to Jim n Nick's when we're in Birmingham. Yes sometimes it's crowded and you have to wait for a table but it's worth it. The Cheese biscuits are so so good! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. If you like sweet tea, Jim n Nick's has great sweet tea! And the BBQ, well it just depends how you like it: on a sandwich, in your stuffed potatoe, on the bone, off the bone, regular sauce, white sauce, they have it ALL. If you're looking for a salad, come hungry because they're huge! And fantastic. My favorite is the Southern chopped with grilled chicken. And IF you have room for dessert, you gotta have the banana pudding. It's so creamy and yummy. And if not, get some to go!! Enjoy!!"

"November 11, 2023 addition to review: Attended bridal shower for friend 's daughter today. We were there an hour before regular opening for the party. The one that booked the party had issues when confirming reservation several weeks ago. They said the reservation was a different time. Was suspect and then today found out why....they double booked parties. Ours was small (12 attendees) and the other was large (approx. 20 or more). Obviously they were making more money with the larger .group. Large group was so loud and boisterous, we had to practically scream to hear each other. Instead of waiting until gifts had been opened, wait staff started coming and getting our orders....standing and blocking our view from seeing the bride. Got the impression they were rushing us. At one point a staff member stood close to where bride was sitting and was commenting on the gifts being opened. Really? Should have stayed in the background. Food was mediocre at best today. Cake the hosts ordered had way to much icing and most left the icing on the plate. Also note that as stated in original review, tables were sticky. May need to find better products to clean the tables. Noticed as the other party was winding down (but no where near leaving) that the staff started moving their personal items and making room to seat a walk in party of three. Personally if I walked in a restaurant that obviously had two parties going on, I would have left, but apparently those folks were desperate. Previous review: Had their food before but today was first time to eat in . Went in after the normal lunch hours. Tables were dirty. Ours never got wiped down. Waitress took my tea order while friend went to restroom. A waiter came and put the tea down in front of my friend without asking who had ordered. When asked he brought another glass...neither was full. Took our sandwich order and when he brought the food, he went and got one fork. Had to ask for napkins. The original waitress came by and asked if food was okay about three bites in and left ticket. After that, no contact from staff til we went to the register. We ran out of tea, with no offer of refill. I paid for our lunch and left a tip but it would have been better if we had received better service. Thankful I carry a drink with me in the car, so i was able to quench my thirst. Considering the cost and service, I will continue to go to Toast in Pell City when I want a sandwich experience. Always good service and food is way better."
