Cancels without notice/phone call. Must be under new management/ new employees. Used to be a local favorite but now has completely lost my business.

Really excellent, the fried oyster mushrooms are crisp and thick, sandwich was flavorful, and I loved the cut of the plantain chips. The ginger pineapple juice was also great.

The food is fresh, delicious and nicely portioned. I really enjoyed the fried oyster mushroom burger. Great combination of flavors. Today was my first time ordering and I look forward to trying other menu items. Voir le carte

I ordered delivery from here. Came so quick and the food tastes absolutely amazing. I had the veggie legim plate, the flavors are so well balanced. And I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. 10/10 would order again

As a 1st time customer, I must say I'm truly impressed with the Seared Herb Salmon Filet meal! The salmon was cooked perfectly, the white rice was delicious and the black bean sauce was a great addition to this meal! I can't wait to order this meal again from Lakou Cafe!

This cafe is so subtle and lowkey but the decor is beautiful and it stands out on its block. there's not a lot of Haitian food around but this spot has some great staples and helped me dip my foot in the culture! I go to Lakou cafe mostly for the smoothies. They never let me down. The patty was a bit dry for me, wouldn't have it again. I am definitely still going to give one of the entrees a shot.The customer service is on the cooler side (not particularly warm welcoming), and depending on who's behind the counter you may or may not get greeted. But it's bad enough to stop me from returning.

I only have good things to say about this place, everything ive tried has been delicious!! The fried mushroom sandwhich is legendary. The pikliz are fantastic I want to eat it with everything. The power punch smoothie might just be the best peanut butter smoothie I have ever had, the balance of flavor is impeccable. the ginger limeade/pineapple drink (I forget what its called my b) I could drink like water its like basically the elixir of life its damn good. Chickpea puff pastry classic simple cant go wrong. Im so happy I live down the street from this place *tears of joy*

I was very disappointed with this place. My friend and I traveled from Queens to celebrate her birthday here due to the good reviews and interminable menu. Upon entry you are not greeted with a friendly cashier, she is quite the opposite. My friend and I have never tried Haitian food and had a few questions about the menu. The girl was nasty and rude, responding with one word answers. Not very helpful... There is no waitress service, even though they only have 3 tables in total.. So we had to get up and order everything ourselves. I told my friend I hope the food isn't as bad as the attitude, especially since we spent $70... What killed me was that all the dishes were served in tupperware co... Voir le carte
