"The most important factor: the food was GREAT. I ordered the 20oz ribeye steak and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked to my desired doneness. The garlic bread was good but not special, like most Santa Maria style barbeque. The meal came with a salad, a relish tray, salsa (for crackers? , Garlic bread, beans, and ice cream. But all of the sides really do play second fiddle to the steak, not sticking out at all. I ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer and was pleasantly surprised to find breaded and fried strips of calamari steaks instead of rings. The texture was perfect and the breading was good. The old fashioned I ordered was mediocre. The only reason Jocko's doesn't get 5 stars from me is guest and table management. We had a reservation for 7:30. At 8:00 we hadn't been seated so we chose to sit in the bar (luckily we found a table for four open . The bar staff was inundated with customers and so understandably slow. Jocko's bar is also packed with TVs which means it functions as a sports bar with loud and rowdy customers, which was not the vibe I was looking for while eating expensive steak."

"Super flavourful we had 6 dishes all were great. ️Recommend the BBQ duck for carnivores and the ️pumpkin squash coconut curry with mock duck for us vegans. This is the only place that makes flavourful Jasmine rice. There are few pet friendly patio places in Nipomo. Less than a mile from fwy, so if traveling easy to get to. I want to give a thank you to them because it was our 7th anniversary, and only take-out was open. However, they seated us and our family w. That was very special to us and earns lifelong patrons. Vegetarian options: Most all dishes are vegetarian, and if vegan ask for their rice noodles. Parking: Next to CVS in a little strip area. Wheelchair accessibility: Open and close spaces"

"Good pizza, service and nice atmosphere. Good beer selection but why the tiny bottles of cheap wine $7) and flimsy plastic utensils and paper plates? We live in a world class wine region so why not at least offer a few decent local wines? As for the paper plates and plastic utensils- probably appropriate when the kids baseball team shows up but not for regular paying customers. I’ll gladly delete this 2 star review and come back for a personal pizza if Me n Ed’s Nipomo ups their game a bit."

"My wife and i take my friend wally here for breakfast once in a while. Every single thing we've ordered is absolutely perfect every single time. Best biscuits and gravy in the area. Big portions of excellent food, great prices, atmosphere nice, location good, staff fantastic. Coffee is never empty. In fact, I'm going to come in tomorrow morning. Thanks for always giving us your best! Looking forward to my next chicken fried steak with an extra large order of biscuits and gravy. Steve"
