Rats… just the comedic kind here! We sit at the same table every time we visit to see this little guy! The food is always so delicious and the garlic knots are to die for with how much garlic butter you get. We drive over an hour to come here and eat! You won’t regret it.

We dined in with family and ordered takeout just for ourselves. The leftovers are fantastic—I have to sneak and hide them from my husband! Haha. As a Gainesville native, I've always loved this place, and while it was sad to see them leave University Avenue, they’re now even closer to home! The food and service are excellent! My husband claims it’s the best deep-dish pizza around, and he's absolutely right!

A local favorite since 1976. Leonard's is a solid choice if you're looking for homestyle Italian Food. Their think pan pizza is packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. Their garlic bread is amazing. All in all a laid back spot for a family meal. They have fantastic lunch specials daily too. If you like pizza and pasta... give this place a try. This place was well recommended by a co worker, so we ordered takeout for the first time today (Wednesday afternoon large cheese pizza well done. Our order was ready in 30 minutes and still very hot. Cost $25 including tip. The inside of the restaurant reminded us of 90s Pizza Hut, wood panels and booth seating. Only a handful of people dining in. The pizza was great. Cooked just right and fresh. Satisfied the pizza craving 100%. We'll be back again when we're in the area :

My first impression as I walked in was that the decor/vibe transported me back to my childhood nostalgia visiting local mom pop pizza joints. Friendly, inviting customer service. I went for lunch ordered a few slices as well as the salad bar as a first time customer. Excellent, old fashioned deep dish pizza that is difficult to find this good anymore, anywhere. They have consistently offered the best deep-dish pizza. It's incredibly thick, packed with toppings, and bursting with flavor and juiciness. And those garlic knots—wow! They come in a basket *overflowing* with butter, so there's even enough leftover to dip your pizza crust if you like! A few years back, they experimented with a type of cheese that I would call faux mozzarella. It remained gooey even after the pizza cooled down, which was quite unappetizing. I suspect it was an effort to cut costs, which is understandable to a point. However, on my recent visit, I was thrilled to find that they have stopped using that and returned to real mozzarella!
