Manakeesh Cafe Bakery Grill

We catered our second party with Manakeesh this weekend and everyone LOVED the food!

I wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. The shawarma doesn't taste like authentic shawarma, and the prices are quite high.

My first time ordering. Chicken was not cooked well. Food came cold. I ordered the Rose and Rose and Pistachio Latte Latte and it looks like some kind of oily soup. Tastes nastyThe Kabob was supposed to come on bed of rice not a bed of fries. Not what I was expecting. Voir le carte

The food is pretty good and so is the service. My friend lived her falafel wrap. My beef wrap was tasty but I did not love the cut of meat. The staff is really pleasant and the space is so lovely. It would have been amazing had the pastries being good but they were overpriced and we could not eat it.

I was in the neighborhood, so I decided to pick up some kunefe and other baked goods. The kunefe cost nearly $8, and the woman heated it up in a microwave in the back. The semolina layer was a bit dry and crumbled easily, while the cheese was just average. Overall, I've definitely had better kunefe at other places. I ended up buying four items for a total of about $23.

Manakeesh Cafe Bakery Grill on Walnut Street is fantastic! They serve a delightful Lebanese fusion cuisine. The flatbreads are baked fresh and come with traditional toppings. The smoky kebabs are packed with flavor, and the baklava is wonderfully flaky and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is both friendly and attentive. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Middle Eastern food! Voir le carte

The manakeesh with half cheese half zaatar was pretty cold and kind of a mess. Chicken tawa was good. I didnt think it was crazy for the price once sides were included but my girlfriend thought it was good. Sujuk manakeesh was good flavor but also cold and stiff. Baklava was super good, especially pistachio but they only included one pistachio and the rest walnuts unfortunately. Overall the food was alright but nothing crazy. Maybe next time ill just get more baklava and some snacks

Great food but service leaves something to be desired. I ordered takeout at the counter and saw a “delivery charge” when my order was being rung up. When asked, cashier said it was for a bag. Seriously? I told him I have my own bag, which I then pulled out. He took the charge off, but then gave me a bag anyway! What? On a previous visit, I ordered online for pickup only to find out some of the pastries I ordered were only available during Ramadan. Then take them off the website! This place is good for a cheap fix but not at the top of my list.

So the food is good we enjoyed it mostly.... however... it's important you know ahead of time that this is entirely self service... the reason why I mention this is because when you pay, immediately the screen requests the tip, which I gave a good for our table, not knowing that even the water and utensils we had to get them ourselves. I mention this because I truly think that tipping is reserved for when you get service, otherwise, it's getting out of hand. I have to stand and get to the front several time to retrieve my food, and still your tipping suggestions reflect what you would do in a regular restaurant where service is provided... Not ok...
