"I am NOT a review leaver however this was Absolutely the worst .... a 3 hour experience I will never get back. If I went in to every detail I'd need a power point presentation. Took literally 2 hours just to get our food. 30 min to get a water and beer... amd thats after mentioning it to someone..never saw the same server twice. They were out of product after JUST opening. We were told there was a private party which i assume they weren't prepared for. Mac and cheese tasted spoiled and salmon was seriously over cooked...i shared this with the server. Items were missing from my dates plate. We were told we would be compensated. The bill was still full price All they did was take off the tax. LITERALLY Paid FULL PRICE for poor service and mediocre food. We were told the manager would come speak with us... that NEVER happened. Made friends with the couple next to us just because we were sharing the same poor experience. The communication between servers is nonexistent, the follow up is poor... the compensation was imaginary. I expected more. I'm not a tough critic. Simple customer service could've altered the experience however they lack this tremendously. It's a NO for me... Ps... the mashed potatoes were good...."

I was visiting friends and relatives in Richmond and found a jewel! The staff , ambience and food were awesome! I was there for brunch i recommend the Boney James (Fish Grits) Artist Rick Elliottt was jamming the smooth jazz hits! We can’t wait to come Back! This place has the total package Philly needs a spot like Mike’s Jazz Cafe! Voir le carte

Food was not good. The greens were way too salty, and the grilled chicken was horrible. Like cutting a car tire. It was undercooked. I think it was boiled, not grilled. By the time it came out, most everyone in my party was done eating. We had a 5 p.m. reservation, so there was no crowd. Took 1.5 hours for everyone to get their food. Lots of flies, one flew into my sister's wine glass. Not a good experience at all.

We stopped by on Saturday night, with a reservation to a restaurant that was not full. It's a beautiful space. The tables are spaced adequately apart, it's quiet and it has a warm rich feeling to it. Quite romantic. We did not see upstairs. The reason my review is so low is that we sat for 25 minutes waiting for service. Zero contact. The food looked good but we got up and left. Will we be back? Probably. But with so many other options in the Fan it might be a while.

My feelings upon coming to Mike's Jazz Cafe more than once are now solidified. The food is delicious the chicken tenders still taste good cold , the service is considerate quick, the atmosphere is truly emotional comfortable. The staff I've seen met at this point are nothing short of courteous affable. Trinity, James, Wana, Nia, the owner Kai are outgoing personable they always come to the tables with calm energy. The live music shoutout Rick! is great, they're playing the right music. Would definitely recommend. Voir le carte

I went here about a week ago with my family. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the dining area. I was happy to see there weren’t tvs all over the wall playing sports or news. The Jazz that was playing was relaxing and filled the space between conversations. I ordered the salmon cakes, creamed spinach and Mac and cheese. The salmon cakes were crisp on the outside and meaty and soft inside. The Mac and cheese was flavorful and I found the spinach to be quite good as well. I did not drink any alcohol so I can’t speak on the cocktails. Overall I had a great experience and would return.

I went here for a friend’s birthday brunch and I would never be back unfortunately. While the music was great, for the $50 brunch I was expecting something akin to the boat house. I was extremely disappointed. The price does not include any drinks (except water). They had only a few options for brunch, the only vegetables were the peppers and onions in the fried potatoes, the Mac and cheese while it had great flavor, was extremely greasy, had burnt cheese on the top and no cheese pull. I couldn’t eat the shrimp and grits because it had pork, the turkey bacon was cold in some parts, over done and greasy. (You can see the grease all over my plate in the picture) The fried chicken was good but...

"I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I have to say I was very disappointed in my dining experience at Adarra. It’s difficult to get a reservation there, so once I was able to, I had extremely high expectations. The drinks were excellent, so no complaints there. The food, however, was not. We ordered the toasted almonds, peppers, cheese plate, tuna belly, anchovy dish, tomato salad, and gnocchi. The almonds and peppers were good, although I have to say they were on the simpler side. The tuna belly made me think I was eating quality tuna from a can soaked in olive oil. That’s the best way I can describe it. It was a bit tough and on the dry side, and I didn’t finish it. I don’t usually eat anchovies since I’m not a fan of the typical fishy taste, but was assured that their version wasn’t fishy at all the way they prepare it. I ate a piece or two but couldn’t finish it. Soaking the anchovies in olive oil did not hide the fishy taste. Some people may like that fishy taste, but I definitely didn’t. The cheese plate was okay. The crackers weren’t anything special, and the amount of cheese was pretty minuscule. The tomato salad was actually the only thing I ordered that was delicious, and the only thing we actually finished. After being at the restaurant for almost two hours, the gnocchi had still not come out. We told our waitress we didn’t want it and decided to leave. I heard so many great things about Adarra and had such high hopes. But after such a disappointing meal that we paid over $200 for, we will not be returning."

"I would like to write a positive review but that would assume we had a positive experience. I am from the West and made a reservation two weeks in advance of going based on the fine Google reviews I had read. What we did not expect was the smallest table for 2 that I have ever been served at, barely big enough for a bottle of wine and two glasses. (And as other reviews will confirm, I am not exaggerating. Then there was constant wait-staff traffic on both sides of the table. Totally insulting for a meal of $230+ for two. Perhaps the most disappointing experience of the evening was taking our waiter's glowing recommendation for wine that they were serving (at $20/glass based on his proclamation that he was the sommelier! Having just read Grisetta's website, he is most definitely not the sommelier, the owner is. It was a tempranillo wine, a variety that I have drank a great deal of over my life. My wife and I both found it to be anything but satisfying. We went on to order a bottle of my choosing, something far superior (at $85 and hadthe tempranillo removed from the table. Now, in all of my fine dining experiences over the course of my 70 year life, I have never been asked to pay for a wine that I did not think was up to the quality billed. But sure enough the waiter insisted on putting it on the tab. As for the food, very good with the exception of the pistachio cake which really missed the mark posing as a banana cake with a few nuts. Other staff members that we encountered were very warm and friendly. But, way too many other great restaurants in Richmond for us to consider this one again."
