Nelda's Tex Mex Cantina

During our recent visit to Nelda's, we quickly devoured two baskets of tasty tortilla chips along with three bowls of fantastic salsa. The Wife ordered the grilled fish tacos, while I opted for the beef fajita nachos. My nachos were wonderfully prepared, featuring an ample helping of all the ingredients. The Wife enjoyed her fish tacos, though she suggested that they would have been even better with some sort of sauce. Overall, we absolutely love Nelda's!

My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a shot since it was close by, though I have to admit I was a bit hesitant at first. I’m a big fan of Mexican cuisine, and I really didn’t want to risk being let down by a new spot. Fortunately, I’m pleased to report that my concerns were unfounded. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious, and the owners are very personable and involved. I've found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I highly recommend giving it a try.

Our experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. When we arrived on a Sunday evening, the place was nearly empty. Unfortunately, the busser was visibly intoxicated and somehow managed to ruin our drinks while making inappropriate comments. We requested to watch the Sunday night baseball game since we were the only customers, but the staff was more interested in playing a movie instead. The server, who seemed to have little training, insisted on putting on a sports documentary because they "really liked that." We had to ask repeatedly—four times—to get the game on TV.
