"I wasn’t sure what to expect when I came to Monahans Jazz Cafe for lunch. A jazz café in Monahans? I was skeptical and didn’t expect much from the food. But I was pleasantly surprised. The service was consistently good, and the food quality matched the reasonable prices. I’ve been here about six times and haven’t had a single bad experience. During lunch hours, they’re always fast and efficient, and I get my meal in a timely manner. After trying another spot nearby (an Italian place) and being very disappointed, I’ll definitely be coming back here. Plus, they don’t overcharge me for my meal, which is hard to argue with. Hopefully, this review helps someone!"

"When she came to the window to hand them to me and take my payment, I was so horrified by what I had just seen that I refused to buy them. An individual who I assumed was her manager asked what was wrong, and when I explained, the employee just stood there silently, seemingly caught off-guard. The supposed manager asked if I still wanted the Blizzards. Absolutely not! She then offered to remake them, but after that wait and such a filthy act, I declined. As I was leaving, I heard her telling the girl to go wash her hands. Honestly, she should have been fired! It’s disgusting to think about how many people have likely consumed food that she touched with her dirty hands."

"Our server was great and I watched and the rest of the servers were the same. Food was ok. Crisp, fresh salad bar fixings. Tender, tasty steaks. Fried veggie plate was mixed. The okra was lite an crisp but the fried squash was horrible. You all need to swap that for anything else. Our big problem was the filth. Everywhere you look is caked on grease and dust. The ceiling fans (with bare light bulbs showing) are caked in furry grease. The kitchen, open to the dining room, has orange/yellow walls. Streaked with multiple, half hearted wipes over the past. Truly disgusting. Please have respect for your customers and put a little effort into presenting a clean environment for us to eat."

"We were SO excited to see a Bennigan's again! We were traveling and actually drove out of our way to have dinner in Monahans. Sadly, the Bennigan's we remembered from years ago wasn't what we experienced. When we arrived, there were a couple of table occupied, no one standing at the front hostess area. We stood and watched a cluster of employees chatting in the back of the restaurant but NO ONE acknowledged us in any way. My husband went to the bar and asked if we could be seated. The bartender called an employee over. This was the start of our very disappointing visit. We were taken to a table with crumbs all over it. No problem, we don't mind wiping it down ourselves...things happen. It took forever to us to get our drinks. Our server was very sweet but not service oriented. The food took around an hour to come. We thought the ticket was misplaced at some point. In their defense, the restaurant did become busier after we were seated. However, it was not THAT busy. When our food finally arrived, it was warm and not hot. Lack luster...nothing to get excited about. Our glasses weren't refilled until we asked for more tea. We watched the young employees stand around and chat while people around us grumbled about lack of service, long wait times, etc. Where is the management? We actually had 3 employees bus the table it was still dirty when they finished next to us and heard the entire conversation about the young girls breakup. Not because we were eaves dropping but because they were so loud. Bad language and personal info that no one wants to hear on a night out. Overall, I'll say it was more of a sad experience. We, like many others, have great memories of Bennigan's. This COULD be a really successful business if they had proper management."

"Okay. We tried this Huddle House because the one in Kermit isn't too great. But, that was not a wise decision. This Huddle House in Monahans definitely isn't a good place to attend either. My husband I went for breakfast and was not greeted at all. I actually asked if we could be seated. The waitress said, sure, anywhere, but that she was the only waitress on duty, so it would be a long wait. She was true to her word. It took her quite some time before we even got our drinks, in which even after all the waiting, she never refilled my husband's drink at all the whole time w were there. Then we did eventually get our food only for it not to be cooked as I requested, but hey, that's life. Just was not a good experience at all. But they truly need to hire a waitress with some common sense. I had to ask for straws, a spoon for my coffee, etc. Then, she kept saying weird comments making weird gestures that didn't even make sense, thinking she was cute, I guess.
