"We ordered the Caesar salad for two, which featured a great dressing, crispy croutons, and cherry tomatoes. My wife chose the full chicken breast, while I went for the 11 oz filet served with garlic buttered carrots. Both dishes were served on sizzling 500-degree plates. The stuffed chicken was fantastic, and my filet was truly a showstopper (see picture). For dessert, we shared the chocolate duo, which included a chocolate lava cake topped with berries, a small cup of chocolate mousse with whipped cream, and a complimentary scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream (see picture). The location was lovely, and the ambiance was perfect for a special night out. The staff was amazing, efficiently clearing our plates and taking care of any needs as we enjoyed our meal. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, explaining the menu and the different cuts of meat, as well as how our entrees would be served. Although it was a bit pricey, we found the experience well worth it. We will definitely return in the future and recommend it to others. Thank you for making our Valentine's Day special in Kauai!"

"Nous avons fait des réservations pour un dîner d'anniversaire. Chris de Ruth ne déçoit pas. La nourriture était excellente, le service était génial et l'ambiance était agréable. C'était une première visite à cet endroit sur LaCantera Parkway. L'inconvénient était mon véhicule par effraction et ruinant le reste de nos projets de soirée. Signes dit sondés par caméra - pas nécessairement vrai. Les bâtiments sont inspectés. Bien sûr, ce n'est pas vraiment la faute de Ruth's Chris, mais attendre une heure pour le signaler car nous vivons juste à l'extérieur de SA était définitivement un problème. La prochaine fois - UBER c'est sûr."

"The food here was very poor. The poke stack appy came with only 4 chips and wasn 't much of a stack being only about the size of a hockey puck for 23 US$. The rissoto was a gloppy mush. You could barely find any seafood in it. (only 2 shrimp! Fish duo plating was totally uninspired and wouldn 't t substitute a little Caesar salad for the Bok choy which I don 't like. The fish was alright, but no sauce or flavor added. Pretty bland. The service was acceptable and the setting is attractive. But so overpriced. Very dissapointed."

"We were so excited for this very big dinner splurge we booked after our helicopter tour of Kaua’i. Unfortunately very disappointed. Absolutely the lowest rating I’ve ever given any restaurant, not to mention one with the high price point. The two stars is for our waiter. The positives: nice location with open air atmosphere so hope you can catch a breeze. Also, the cute little salt container on the tables was delicious salt for your food. You’ll need it. The wine was good. Our favorites from this restaurant were the Cesar salad and Parmesan French fries. We got there at opening and before we could order the restaurant was out of a white fish option so replaced with ahi tuna instead. Those are not the same type of fish, nor should they be cooked the same way. Also, the island restaurants brag endlessly that their fish is fresh daily so how do you run out at opening? Hubby had a basic filet and I had the duo (filet and fish) as I can generally tolerate a more cooked ahi tuna. I didn’t even finish the tuna, because it was cooked like the white fish (seared in a Parmesan crust and then baked). The kitchen should have changed the cooking method for the seafood option when they ran out of white fish. The menu options were limited which should have been our first clue to leave. The filets were bland and small. The portions were small. The crab cakes appetizer at a whopping $24 was TWO very small crab cakes (two bites tops). Our tab with tip was $250 and the worst meal we’ve had on vacation, maybe ever. We left still hungry and picked up snacks at the Living Foods store in the area and quite frankly regretted we just didn’t eat at that restaurant in the first place. We also regretted not just paying the wine and appetizers bill when the waiter said they were out of white fish, which cut the limited menu even further, and left. Lesson learned. There are plenty of other good restaurants in the area, don’t choose this one."

"When we arrived, we were seated promptly by the hostess. One of the waitstaff brought us water soon after. Up to this point the service has been attentive. When our waitress came over, she asked for our drink order. We ordered 2 drinks. She brought one of the drinks and left. Quite a while later, she comes back to take our order. I ordered my drink again and she acted like it was the first time I said it. She wrote our order while we were saying them. Nothing complicated and no special orders. Then quite a long time passed. Two of our meals were brought over. Several minutes later, the 3rd one came. Then we heard the chef say that he's done and he's leaving. We looked at each other and was just about to say something when we saw the pasta order on the counter. Our waitress picked it up and brought it over to another table. When we tried to get her attention so she can tell the chef that there was still one dish to prepare, she was short with us and told us to wait. When she finally came over, we told her and she became frazzled and ran after the chef. By that time the rest of us were done. When my husband received his dish, he ate it alone while we waited. Our waitress never bother to check on us until we told her that one of the dishes were not brought out. In all our years of dining out, we have never had our waitress forget to bring one person's meal, because in most cases, they always check on us to make sure everything was correct and prepared to our liking. In this restaurant, our waitress never came back after we received our meals. As you can imagine, we felt that a full tip was not earned so we gave a small tip with a written explanation. When we received the charge, someone had changed the total to increase the tip. Fortunately, we have the receipt that showed the correct total. There is no excuse for such poor service. The restaurant was not busy. We will never visit this restaurant again and would never recommend it to anyone."
