"We enjoyed the food we ordered, but the service left much to be desired. After initially ordering a couple of small plates, we decided to order more when the manager came by to check on us. Unfortunately, it took an unreasonable amount of time for those additional dishes to arrive, and they finally came out just as I was paying my bill and had to cancel the extras. When the food did arrive, it was not what we had ordered. Although we had a reservation, we were seated at a high-top table, and it seemed we were served by the bartender. He spent plenty of time chatting behind the bar but rarely checked on us, and when he did, it felt rushed. It seemed like they were eager for us to leave, even though we hadn’t yet received our full order. The bartender also never inquired if we wanted more drinks."

First time visit and it was great. We sat outside and had a fabulous time. Waitress was great. One of the owners was walking around talking to customers so nice vibe !

The oysters, the peel-and-eat shrimp, the tuna tartar— all so fresh and excellent! And a pretty good value, considering the quality seafood. I love eating on the patio, which has open doors to the outside but also a roof, in case it's raining. I go here/will go here every time I visit Washington. I can't recommend it highly enough! Atmosphere is great.... Order 2 crab cakes meals. 20 minutes later they only brought out one. Another 20 minutes after my wife was done with hers my came out . We told the waiter when ordering we both wanted the crab cake.. food was ok. Sauce was spicy and the greens that came with it had a weird flavor to them. First time to the wharf, awesome area. Food is pricey.

I've tried oysters in various preparations, but they just don't appeal to me. However, I've noticed that oyster bars often serve some of the best seafood, and Rappahannock is no exception! From the drinks—especially the sangria, which was the best my wife and I have ever tasted, truly a "Christmas in a glass"—to the tuna tartare appetizer and the crab cake entrée, everything was simply amazing. The service was impeccable as well. We'll definitely return the next time we're in DC!

We had an amazing experience at Rappahannock! Our server, Nakeria, was charming and delightful. Even though there was a slight wait for some of our dishes, she made sure we felt looked after and happy. Her recommendations, like the Necromancer and the Low Speech (I might not be quoting that perfectly), were great. The oysters were fantastic, the drinks were smooth, and the company was wonderful. The exterior of the restaurant was lovely, and the view of the water was stunning. The service was excellent, and our waiter attended to us very well. However, there was a nearby table where a woman was speaking quite loudly, which was somewhat distracting. The wine prices were on the higher side, which led to a bill that was more than we anticipated. Additionally, there were only two restrooms, and we ended up waiting in line for quite a while. Despite these issues, we did enjoy the food and the beautiful view.

This was our first time dining here for lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant features a lovely outdoor courtyard area. The staff was friendly and welcoming! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. As someone who is particular about food (I prefer clean, gluten-free, and organic options), I was thrilled with our choices. I had a sangria that I requested to be less sweet, and it was just right. The chowder was outstanding, and the scallop carpaccio was both flavorful and unique. The oysters were fresh and delightful.
