"Every time I come to this restaurant, I always enjoy the amazing food and the quality of the fresh seafood. However, during my recent visit, I was disappointed with the service. When taking my girlfriend out for a date, the server gave us the wrong beer, serving a milk stout instead of the IPA she had ordered. Additionally, it took 40 minutes for our oysters and starters to arrive, despite the restaurant not being busy. Our server, Sandy, seemed to forget about us multiple times, making us ask for ketchup twice. The most uncomfortable moment came when Sandy read the name on our credit card out loud while handing us the bill, causing discomfort as a member of the LGBT community. Such unprofessional behavior is disappointing and should not be tolerated, especially in what is supposed to be a safe space for all."

Big, busy restaurant. Varied menu. Lobster buttered slider was good but not great. Fairly tasteless. Chowder was served in a huge bowl. Tasty but on the thinner side. Crab sandwich was good. Requested with bread on the side but was brought made as a sandwich. Fried shrimp dish was the Tasty winner.

"My favorite Italian restaurant, period. I visit Massimo's regularly because the establishment is top-notch. I feel lucky to have this type of quality nearby as this is the sort of successful restaurant you'd see in a major city like Boston. I've ordered just about every dish on the menu here and was blown away each time. My favorite meal to order is the bone-in Veal Ribeye, which is always cooked to a perfect medium-rare, has a delicious sear on it, and is accompanied by an excellent creamy polenta and mushrooms that tie it together. The bar service is punctual and make high quality drinks. Service is always personable, pleasant, and very attentive; I actually feel like I am being waited on, which seems to be rare these days. The vibe is very nice and sets up the perfect atmosphere for a finer date night dinner. I would recommend wearing business casual, no t-shirt unless sitting at the bar upstairs, but even then, keep it nice as the wait staff wear formal attire."

"Great food and service. Appetizer of raw bar was outstanding. Meal was pasta with lobster and flat steak with baby potatoes . New waitress Lily was right on about the lobster with pasta . It was to die for !!! Lily was attentive and easy to chat with. Manager stop by and check on us to see if everything was ok . The only thing was it was loud and we did have to speak loudly to talk to each other . We will return !!"

"I had a great experience at Moxy! My server April was fantastic. As soon as I mentioned that I was gluten sensitive, which means I’m generally ok with cross contamination, she highlighted the menu items I could have. I got the fried calamari which was quite the treat since I rarely get to have fried foods. The roasted carrots were perfectly crunchy and generous for a tapa. I also got the crispy pork belly with a sweet potato butter. I was definitely full with 3 tapas but April convinced me I had to get the chocolate pots de creme and boy was she right. Thank goodness I was born with a second stomach for dessert. Overall this was a great experience and I would definitely come back. I feel it’s one of the best restaurants in Portsmouth NH."

"We had a wonderful dining experience with family. Cocktails, starters, and entrees were all very good. My steak frites were excellent! The steak melted in my mouth. One thing of concern. We were seated in the dining room. It was a cold night. Every time someone entered or exited the restaurant the cold air would rush in. I hope that something can be done to mitigate this. Actually, I hope that summer gets here real soon! Regardless, we'll be back in the near future."

"We arrived early and were seated right away for a special occasion. They were very nice and wishing our graduate best wishes. However, we all felt like they were eager to feed us and get us out to turn over the table- very rushed. Food was average but overpriced. Nothing spectacular. My seafood bouillabaisse was luke warm, filled with lots of chewy mussels, 5 very overcooked rubber shrimp and an unshelled 1/2 lobster that seemed to have been cooked many hours previous. I was daring in that I'd worn a white shirt and ordered a red, brothy stew but I assumed, as with any other bouillabaisse, the lobster would be shelled and ready to eat. It wasn't. And I had to ask for a set of lobster crackers. Which, even though they're a high priced seafood restaurant on the Atlantic, in prime lobster country, they apparently didn't have. Instead I was given a pair of nutcrackers (which can suffice if you know how to use them but are difficult), no picks, no bib. Obviously, made a mess. Sad celebratory lunch."
