"As a foodie from Sarasota, I recently spent three days in Abingdon while riding the Creeper Trail, and I was thoroughly impressed with the food, service, and ambiance during my visit. It was the perfect way to start my day in one of the coziest and quietest small towns in Virginia. On a side note, I’ve fallen in love with Virginia. I now understand why the state motto is "A State for Lovers." You have a new admirer here! Looking forward to visiting The Girl and The Raven again. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5."

"Je veux aimer ce restaurant autant que nous avons fait il y a deux ans. Le petit déjeuner inclus dans le tarif de la chambre était à cette époque-luxueux et vaut bien le prix indiqué pour les Nonguests. Cette fois, c'était hohum. La nourriture et la présentation étaient juste bien. Smuckers confiture dans de petits conteneurs jetables en plastique ?! Margarine? Nah. Le dîner était similaire. Assurez-vous que le dessert a été garni de fouet cool. Je sais que le personnel était très occupé par la préparation de Thanksgiving. Mais pensez toujours que les normes ont été érodées. Nous étions également là pour le déjeuner de la journée de Thanksgiving. Très trop cher! Ma faute pour ne pas s'enquérir. Mais je n'ai jamais rêvé que nous serions facturés par personne !!! Pour un repas qui était suffisant mais pas extravagant car le coût implique. Et tout goûté d'accord mais pas si différent de la qualité que le baril de cracker. Je suis désolé de dire. Les desserts étaient jolis stellaires. Nice mais pas vraiment orienté pour faire des convives à faire sentir que les prix élevés en valent la peine. Allez plutôt à la pluie, le charmant restaurant dans la rue"

"We were in the area and craving Italian food, so with all the high ratings, we expected a great meal. We started with garlic knots, which were good but not exceptional. They came with a cold, flavorless pizza sauce. For our main courses, I ordered the meatball parmigiana, which was disappointing—it felt like a step up from something canned. The sauce was burnt and overly peppery, and the meatballs were the small, rubbery kind you’d find in frozen meals. When I visit an Italian restaurant, I hope for homemade, family recipe meatballs, and these definitely did not measure up. The garlic bread tasted pre-packaged as well. My wife chose the ravioli, which were better and complemented by a cream sauce, but still nothing remarkable. It seems the restaurant's great ratings might be more about the pizza than the pasta dishes."

"After a round of golf in Radford, we were on our way to Knoxville and stumbled upon 128 Pecan during our search—and what a wonderful discovery it was! The food and drinks were excellent, but the service truly exceeded our expectations. Allie, Josh, and John were outstanding, and it was clear that teamwork is a priority here. I enjoyed the trout served with collard greens, while my friend opted for the steak sandwich. I highly recommend this place! Service: Dine-in."

"I'm not sure you could find another fine dining experience even if you tried... From the time you enter the front door , the cozy atmosphere combined with candles and a fireplace along with dim lighting, let's you know right away just how special The Tavern is... Our food was cooked to perfection, and the service was 5 star... My wife and I had a few mixed drinks after our meal and just took advantage of this enjoyable establishment... I would summarize this review by saying that no matter how much I could talk about our experience, some things you just need to experience for yourself... make your reservation in advance, you don't wanna miss this opportunity..."
