"The food here is really a great old Baton Rouge staple. It's consistently tasty, the service is good, usually pretty fast. I've had issues in the past with the particular meal I usually order being overcooked to my preference but the steak kebabs are tasty and tender even though they are cooked more than I prefer. They always ask how I want it cooked , my reply is always medium rare and it's always served well done. I've come to expect that because it's still the tastiest thing I think on the menu. I went back there recently for lunch , it comes with salad , rice and hummus, so I usually go in for the entire salad first to make room on the plate to cut the steak and veggies into bite size pieces. At the bottom of the salad I found a hair on the plate under the rest of the food which is immediately off putting. I told the waitress and I was so grossed out that I was finished, she brought me the check for the drink and appetizer and I left. I realize things happen but this is the second instance where I've been unhappy and no one even bothered to apologize. I guess that's a little too much to ask?"

My favorite dish here is the chicken shawarma salad plate. The chicken is perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, with crispy golden edges. The gyros plate includes plenty of hummus, so you won't need to order any extras. They offer both white and wheat pita bread. The lunch service is quick, making this place a popular spot for weekday lunches in BR.

I've visited Serops all over BR. But this, by far is the best location ever! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I think it was the cook who came out and made my plate. He let me taste several items before purchasing without hesitation AND with a smile! I just moved in the area, so I am so glad I had this pleasurable experience as this will be my new spot!

We had the fried halloumi appetizer and I had a falafel sandwich. App was fine. Sandwich was good. The feta cheese salad that came with the sandwich wasn't very good. The hummus was delicious. Prices seemed a little high $7.95 for the app and $9.50 for the sandwich) The place is really small and loud. I didn't like the atmosphere at all. Hands down the absolute BEST Lebanese cuisine in the nation!! Serop's creates a one-of-a-kind dressing for the salad that compliments the gyro or chicken shawarma in the best possible way. From the smooth hummus all the way to the delicious kibbeh, you cannot go wrong with any items on the menu! The staff is attentive and always treats us like family when we are in town. Thank you Serop's for offering such a wonderful experience time and time again!!!

This goes into my Mediterranean list. Totally. It is one of the better ones around. And Baton Rouge has a lot of them. what I like about Serop's is that it does really Good on basic things which you expect to be tasty. Their humus was good. I have had humus at places where I felt it was too watery and that it doesn't have the fresh taste. You go to one of these places not to have a humus which tastes like the ones we get in Walmart. This place has good humus. Period. they also had decent chicken shawarma and since it's safe and economical to have this at most places.
