I have been going there since 2015 and get genuinely great service from the server Mike very amazing customer service and very knowledgeable.

Huge portions of delicious food with excellent friendly service. Conveniently located just off 85. If you're passing through Durham and want a great deal stop here!

It had been a long time since I last visited Shanghai, and I had forgotten just how delicious the food is. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp and fried rice, and it was excellent. Voir le carte

Staff is always friendly. The food was excellent. Very clean place. Huge servings. My husband and I split a plate, they are so big. We had the cashew chicken with steamed white rice and an egg roll. Very reasonable price for the amount of food you get. Clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. We enjoy eating here so much

It's good but simple chinese cuisine restaurant. My wife, myself, and 2 children 13 9 went on Sunday. They had a decent lunch menu. We all enjoyed it except the 9 yr old. He doesn't like change and usually orders chicken fingers and fries. He loved the fries but not the chinese style chicken. (Like the chicken for sweet sour chicken). I really enjoyed the General Tso's chicken. I do have a minor issue. It was not spicy at all. But, we still enjoyed Shanghai.

This is our go-to Chinese spot for dine-in and takeout. Although it's 4 miles away, they will not deliver??!! I enjoyed the chicken lo mein, wonton soup, and pork egg rolls. House hot mustard was super hot to me. For my entree, I chose chicken lettuce wraps and added my own peanut sauce. Solid 4 star, however after getting the Shrimp Toast it was elevated to a 5 because this place provided authentic Shrimp Toast with actual big Shrimp! Wifey did a random search on this place and it came on our radar as we were visiting Durham and family. With no references, we took the gamble with family which everyone loved it, so Shanghai will definitely be on our dining list going forward. The ambiance, service and food were excellent! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Hot and sour soup was delicious, broth was rich and flavorful and paired well with the crispy fried wonton chips. Highly recommend. Mongolian Beef wasn't at all spicy but the flavor makes up for it. Try it with some of the hot chili oil they have at the table for little kick. We also ordered the Happy Family, a house specialty. It had a nice assortment of meats including shrimp, chicken, and pork with vegetables. Well balanced yet tasty. Can't go wrong with this one. Large portions... and came with lots of rice.
