This Takahachi Restaurant location is always a busy eatery. It offers a casual, traditional Japanese vibes and standard comfort food menus with a variety of sushi rolls. Every item was reasonably-priced. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The restaurant offers a straightforward yet respectable selection of high-quality fish at a good price. The interior is small and somewhat cramped, making it more suitable for small groups. The atmosphere is casual. Although the outdoor dining area was closed during my visit, it appeared to be a bit neglected.

Perfect tempura, great prices, fresh everything. There’s so much volume everything is right from the start. Top picks? Miso black cod, soft shell crab. I’d have those all day everyday. Downside? Expect a wait for peak times. Easy solution, get there for the early bird , a great assortment different from the bento. Voir le carte

I recently enjoyed some of the most delicious and flavorful sushi I've had in a long time. The portion sizes were generous, and the freshness of the ingredients allowed me to savor every flavor in each bite. The drink and sake selection was impressive, and the service was excellent, creating a fantastic atmosphere overall!

I've been visiting Takahachi for over 30 years, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I've watched it evolve over the years to adapt to changes in the neighborhood, rising food costs, and increasing competition. Despite all this, Takahachi endures thanks to its quality, consistency, and the talent of Chef Jack. While there are sushi restaurants on every block (and an omakase every other), there is truly only one Takahachi. It’s a no-frills spot that gets straight to the point.

The food was absolutely delightful, truly melting in your mouth. The seaweed salad was especially amazing—so yummy! And the crab gyoza? I could have easily eaten a whole plate by myself; they were that good. My friend and I ended up chatting for quite a while, and while I could tell our server was a bit frustrated, she graciously let us enjoy our conversation and drinks without rushing us, which was a nice change from most other places.
