I picked up my old friend Lickity Split so we could check out the duck blinds and give them a good cleaning before next weekend's 12 Gauge Halapalooza. We were so pumped about the upcoming festivities that we had to stop for some of the best chimichangas around—well, in Davis, at least. They were incredible, definitely the most delicious chimichangas I've ever had! 5 stars!

I love everything about this place! Nice people, nice service, nice carnitas and Carne Asado tacos, nice red and green sauce, and especially good chile rellenos. Went back weekly since my first review, and ate in today; August 3rd. It continues to be a pleasant experience. We also shared the carne asada fries, which were excellent. The fries were hot and fresh, topped generously with cheese (I can't stand dry asada fries), and there were plenty of toppings. In fact, even at the bottom of the bowl, there were still toppings to enjoy with the fries, which is quite unusual. Additionally, there was a good amount of guacamole, and the quality of the meat was great—no fatty or gristly pieces. I will definitely be returning! Voir le carte

This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. The staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming. As soon as I walk in, they greet me with warm smiles and call me by name or terms of endearment like "chiquita" or "princesa." I recently had my braces tightened, but they made sure I could enjoy everything on my plate. For the first time since getting my braces, I left feeling completely satisfied. The horchata is delicious, and all the food and drinks are fantastic. You can tell it’s authentic Latino cuisine just by the ambiance, adorned with lucha libre posters and photos of famous personalities. Overall, my experience here is always wonderful.

I came across a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant, so as someone visiting from out of town, I decided to give it a try. While I appreciated the pleasant atmosphere and friendly service, I was quite let down by the portion sizes. My friend ordered the Carne Asada, and I went for two tacos: one beef and one fish. We opted for takeout, and when we opened our food, we were both very disappointed with how little we received, especially considering the price. I've frequented other Mexican restaurants and was expecting similar portion sizes, but I was truly disappointed. Is that really all we get? The food was tasty, but I can't shake the feeling of disappointment regarding the portion...

The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered several dishes, but I was a bit let down by the taco de papa. Instead of a fried taco filled with mashed potatoes and cheese, I received cubed potatoes served on two small tortillas. While the flavor was enjoyable, it wasn’t what I had anticipated based on the menu description. On a brighter note, the flan was delightful; it had a pleasant balance and wasn’t overly eggy, and the caramel sauce was just right. The interior of the restaurant was charming, adorned with various pictures, but with the temperature soaring to 106 outside and only a few fans running, I struggled to cool down and fully appreciate my meal.
