We were guest at Ojo Caliente in Ojo Caliente NM. We have visited this resort the last few years and have had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed and disgusted that a place that is on the higher end would have visible mousetraps in their restaurant. Visible mouse traps in a restaurant during operation is absolutely unacceptable. I Took pictures of the trap and our table was right next to it. I spoke with night restaurant manager and he was no help as well. I would like to know how this can be made right? #R40779

Ordered cocktails, buffalo short ribs and beet salad. Just skip the cocktails. They were really sad. Buffalo shirt rib was very sweet and lacked flavor, given their price of $40+. Also, just one short rib, definitely need two in a plate. Salad was good and was the best dish on our table, ilthe beets were fewer than you want and it is on the sweeter side. Overall, loved ojo stay but not their pretend fine dining. Get your own food or go to mesa Vista if you carry cash. I think the bar offers thier microwave. Oh and the coffee sucks! Stayed a couple nights ago. Enjoyed my soak and the atmosphere. Went to the bar to grab some food, I was extremely disappointed. My burger was burnt to a Char and when I asked to speak with the chef, I was informed there was not one. The food is extremely overpriced and the menu was not put together well at all this place claims to be fine dining but it’s more like a roadhouse style café with very poor food and service. We went for dinner the following night in hopes he would redeem themselves, however service was even more chaotic than the lunch. I had the previous day. Whoever is in charge of the kitchen has some serious straightening up to do this place is a wreck, and I wouldn’t recommen...

I had low expectations given the current 3.6 average and the fact that this is a resort restaurant, but we were so surprised by how good the New Mexican dishes were at Artesian. Ojo Caliente was the end of a 7-day trip through New Mexico, and the steak fajitas and chicken mole were some of our favorite meals after many quality ones preceding our stay. The staff members are extremely attentive and friendly (they remembered us after one visit), and I want to give a special shout out to Ivan. Lastly, while the food can be a bit pricey, which is unsurprising for a resort and the only place in town, the beer and cocktails were very reasonable. My wife and I recently took a trip to Ojo is recommended by a friend. The rooms are cozy and welcoming. However, when it was time to have dinner, I felt like I enter the circus. The food is extremely overpriced, and prepared in such a haste that it can be nothing but low quality. I ordered the chili Reno and don’t know what on earth I got it was more like a stuffed pepper, full of sweet potatoes and black beans. It was disgusting and had nothing to do with new Mexican cuisine. It made me wonder why it was on the menu. Period. It seems that the staff is ran by an over paid waiter or waitress, and nobody in the kitchen is trained to prepare food. I felt like I would’ve been better off driving... Voir le carte
