"When walking in the hostess didn't even look up from her ipad to greet us, it felt like we were inconveniencing her just by being there. The table we sat at felt crowded and my chair was right over the air vent, so every time the heater kicked on it was freezing for seconds then melting hot until it shut off. The window we sat next to didn't look like it had been washed in months. Our server took a while to get to us, even though it wasn't crowded and was hardly there during the meal to get anything we needed. Just didn't feel like they really wanted us there. The food was average, I was expecting at least a dinner salad for the price we paid, but no luck there. The food was definitely under seasoned, but when using the salt and pepper provided at the table it was better. The meat wasn't as tender as I am used to prime meat being, so maybe it wasn't prime? but again for the price it should have been or at least I expected it to be without having to ask. The desserts, were again, just ok. Nothing really stood out as this being a return restaurant to me."

The ambiance and service were great but the food was just so so. Since the food wasn't that great I felt like it was too expensive for what we got.

Outstanding will be back for round two very soon! Service was very friendly; might have been a bit understaffed but seems par for the course post-Covid, so not a big deal. Cocktails were amazing! Voir le carte

This was our second time dining at The Charleston. First time was outdoors in the summer, this time was indoors during the winter. We loved the ambience, the service was top notch, and the food was incredible.

Went there for the ambiance, but felt we were a little closer to the tables next to us. Wish I could have felt more comfortable talking about whatever I wanted without thinking the table next to us was ease-dropping.

The food is always fantastic as is the service. If you happen to sit in Sara’s section you definitely won’t be disappointed, she has a passion for the food they serve and you can tell she really loves it. The Gaucho Steak is to die for. Voir le carte

What a cute space. I visited for a Galentines brunch. They were out of espresso and oysters, both of which we were looking forward to. The drinks were delicious and food was good. I ordered the Benedict and my eggs were hard boiled but all of the flavors were delightful. I will definitely go back to try again.

The charm of an historic home in Draper, decorated in timeless elegance made the evening very special. The beautifully prepared and excellent tasting food made it memorable. Our server was very attentive and I appreciated that the Manager took the time to visit our table, ask about our experience and inquire about possible improvements to make the experience even better. Great Customer Service, Delicious Food and Elegant Atmosphere make The Charleston a strong recommendation to my friends and family. In fact, I am going to take my Mom there in weeks.

"POSITIVES: Don 't let the name fool you, this place is chock full of options besides sushi. Whether it 's curry, rice, noodles, teriyaki chicken, a bento box, or a variety of ramen, this place offers lots of satisfying options. The appetizers are equallytempting : edamame, calamari, gyoza, takoyaki, etc. As far as sushi goes, this place nails it with a blend of great flavor andawesome presentation. I ordered the colorful Playboy roll (fried shrimp, salmon, tobiko--tiny fish eggs, and jalapeño andthe Phoenix roll (tempura shrimp, eel, avocado, salmon, jalapeño, green onion, sesame seeds, teriyaki sauce, and spicymayo. . This roll was unlike anything if ever been presented with at a sushi restaurant...trust me, it is very exciting andworth every penny. The Japanese decor and theme is very friendly and inviting. The waitress was extremely polite andknowledgeable. Also, the mochi ice cream is fabulous, and you can 't go wrong with it. NEGATIVES: the menu was covered ingrease from someone fingers... Not sure if the material just attracts grease really easily or something... Also, there was aBOGO 50% off for all sushi rolls... I only ordered 2 rolls myself (one was $15ish, the other would have been about $7 with theoffer , and I somehow still walked out paying $30, aside from tip. Still not terrible, but not what I had expected. PRICE:expect to pay $15-30 per person depending on how much food you get. VERDICT: it was a fun experience, and I 'm definitelycurious about some of the other sushi rolls (and curry! It 's love to come back, but given the price, I may have to wait untilmy work takes us out so it 's on their dime."
