"I was visiting OKC to visit my daughter and her family and wanted to eat a good chicken fried steak so my daughter took me to RJ's. What a fun choice. It has a very retro feel and the mixed drinks were expertly made and delicious. The chicken fried steak was everything I expected and more. My daughter and I ate at the bar as all the indoor seats were taken, but we didn't mind that. The place has very limited indoor seating, but there is an outside seating section that is enclosed and has heaters to help warm the area. I would definitely recommend RJ's!"

The food is just okay and the building is quite down. But the drinks are good. So if you are just a place to hang out and try some classic throwing drinks there is a shot.

Terrible service. Not only did we have to wait about 30-40 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us, he was not even friendly. The food was okay, but again- it didn't make up for the horrible customer service. Voir le carte

I love this place. The ambiance is great, the food is great.... The service is a bit slow but I don't mind because it's the type of place you want to spend time in for a while. The menu is rotating and never fails to be delicious.

Got the lamb burger and a french 75. Despite the fact that they’re swamped, I got my food and drink within 5 minutes of ordering. I hardly know how this is possible. Really really delicious. Top notch. I’ve paid much more for much less.Edit: stuck around, has a caesar salad (medium-good) and a whiskey sour and old fashioned (both very good).

Was surprised, this place offered a quiet space to enjoy our entire dining room experience. Relish trays were ordered from all 3 tables nearby, and I can see why how enjoyed every spicy cucumber, butter, and the picked green we had. The Vieux Carre and Old Fashioned should be a standard order if you are interested in the darker spirits. The almonds fought trout and Cobb salad w/smoked fried chicken were satisfied on taste and portion. We'll be back. Voir le carte

Came in with some friends. Waiter took 10+ minutes to even bring water and acknowledge us although he told us what table to sit at. One of my friends IDs was expired by 2 days (mind you we’re all 30+ and refused to serve him. After putting in drinks and checking every other ID, he came back and asked one of the girls when she graduated and quizzed her on the ID. I’m in the industry, and everything here was extremely rude, have some class…Needless to say, we won’t be back.

It is a super casual atmosphere, although we had reservations that we set ourselves, then waited 15 minutes to be greeted by a server. She was very friendly and happy to help but spent a lot of time visiting staff. I wouldn't say that the service was bad, but we don't feel that our needs had a priority. That means eating is pretty good. Not everything to rave over, but definitely enough. With a little more attention over details, this place has the beginnings of something that might be great.

"We ate here during the Paseo Arts Festival. We initially tried to make a reservation using Open Table, but someone from the restaurant called me a few days later to inform me that Picasso Cafe was not taking reservations during the Arts Festival. We arrived at 12:15 pm and put in our names. Our party was called just before 1:00 pm. Fortunately, we had the Arts Festival to keep us busy while we waited. I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich. It sounded good in the menu description -- seared chicken breast, avocado slices, swiss cheese, bacon, and bourbon honey mustard. However, I ordered it without the cheese because I have been to too many places where they do not know how to melt cheese on grilled sandwiches and I don't want to be a picky customer on my second visit to a restaurant. Anyway, it was difficult to hold the sandwich together. I ended up taking the avocado slices off of it so that there was enough friction for me to hold it together and eat it. The seared chicken breast was the best part, closely followed by complimentary lettuce and tomato (crisp and cold) and the honey mustard (good mix of sweet and tangy). I ordered the napa cabbage slaw for my side dish. It was served with a light dressing so that the cabbage stood out. This is not a slaw for people who prefer not to taste the cabbage. I would like to come back and try some more things. However, if I have the chicken sandwich again, I am going to leave out both the swiss cheese and the avocado. I would also like to see if they have a wheat bun because that would pair better with this mix of flavors and textures."
