"I'm a server. so I understand the meaning that I take care of her dunes in customers. I also understand that the things can become hectic during the morning shift. but what I don't understand is how someone can answer the phone for an order, and let a customer hold for almost 30 minutes in the hand. Yes, I would have hanged and called back after 15 minutes, but then I wanted to talk to a manager. I heard all the talks while I was waiting. I heard someone had to take the break. heard 3 or 4 order how someone wanted extra butter and someone else needed toast. and I just wanted a togo folder. After 28 minutes I said to hell with it and called Dennys. at least there I knew I would get my order if I called. eating here is great. That's why I called. but after I've been put into the handle for so long, I'll never eat here again. not with the customer service."

"This restaurant has definitely been inconsistent when it comes to freshness and quality. I live in Atascocita and have visited this place twice after a friend recommended it, but unfortunately, both experiences have been disappointing. I ordered the glazed donuts and kolaches, and neither tasted fresh. I noticed that they reheated the kolaches in the microwave, which is a clear sign that they weren’t fresh. It seems like if you want something fresh, you need to arrive right at opening time, as both times I visited were before 8 a.m."

"My wife wanted to go here for her birthday. We arrived and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. After 2 hours, we were sat at a table. Upon walking in we noticed several tables that were large enough for our party of 7 that were clean and ready to be sat. I dont know how long those tables were available, but it appeared to us that we could have likely been sat a while before we were. Onto the service...it was mediocre. Food came out sporadically as there was about a ten minute delay between our first dish and last dish being served. The food was the only consistent thing on this occasion and noone had any complaints there. Our server, however, didnt seem interested in refills, or even being courteous. At the end of the meal, our check was brought out before any offer of dessert was made, and they didnt even acknowledge my wifes birthday even though it was requested. Gringos on Cypresswood is a far superior experience and even though this one is closer, we wont be returning."

"The greeting staff were warm and friendly, and our waiter was excellent. The food though, is kind of meh, in my personal opinion. My party of 4 tried the dinner boxes, the spicy calamari roll, two appetizers, and the mocha cheesecake dessert. The appetizers were delicious, and the dessert was also pretty good. The calamari roll was ok, seemed a bit rice heavy and didn't have much life of flavor. Most of the sides and the veggie/shrimp tempura were a bit bland which was very disappointing. The main meat dish of the dinner boxes was delicious and full of flavor though.So all in all, not a bad place, but certainly not my favorite. I'm not experienced enough with Japanese culture and food to know the degree of Americanisation, but judging from the mostly white redneck attendees(lol), the blander pallette from other restaurants I've been to, and the mostly English menu, I'm guessing it's probably fairly Americanized."

"Our 1st time there, pretty disappointing. The dirty rice was dry, the second batch was dry, the 3rd attempt was edible. The hush puppies tasted like they were soaked in grease and left they to soak up the grease, I couldn't eat them. The cat fish was delicious and juicy, just like I like it. The tartar sauce was not good, it didn't have much flavor besides the flavor of mayonnaise. The iced tea..... wow, what a failure!!! Who screws up on making iced tea, unless it was fountain tea, which it may very well been because it was all water, no flavor, not sweet at all. The ice inside the glass wouldn't even get it cold cold. The steak was undercooked. The baked potato was small, and they charge extra for that. The cole slaw was ok but I didn't really like it. The cabbage was cut into thick tiny sized squares and loaded with mayo that was so heavy you couldn't really taste the cabbage. There were not that many people inside this place, at 6:30 pm, and we now know why. The service was good, the waitress tried really hard to make it a good experience for us. We will not be going back there again though. There is no desert menu btw. There is a full bar there, not sure what that was like though. The decor is OLD, VINTAGE, and lots of TVs throughout the restaurant."
