"I'm a server. so I understand the meaning that I take care of her dunes in customers. I also understand that the things can become hectic during the morning shift. but what I don't understand is how someone can answer the phone for an order, and let a customer hold for almost 30 minutes in the hand. Yes, I would have hanged and called back after 15 minutes, but then I wanted to talk to a manager. I heard all the talks while I was waiting. I heard someone had to take the break. heard 3 or 4 order how someone wanted extra butter and someone else needed toast. and I just wanted a togo folder. After 28 minutes I said to hell with it and called Dennys. at least there I knew I would get my order if I called. eating here is great. That's why I called. but after I've been put into the handle for so long, I'll never eat here again. not with the customer service."

"Edit: I went back about 10 days after this review and after getting a response from Pat's about my review. It was great this time and what we've always come to expect from Pat's Donuts. Thank you for going above and beyond, I wasn't expecting anything from my review tbh let alone a response to it, it's good to know that some businesses still appreciate customer feedback and will go the extra mile to make it right. Usually love this place but yesterday I stopped and got 5 donuts and 4 kolaches and a breakfast croissant sandwich. The donuts were still raw in the middle, I was charged for half a dozen mixed donuts and only order 5, that’s not half a dozen, and I was charged for a long John which I didn’t even order. Idk what’s happening here but I’ve frequented this business often over the years and never had this kind of experience until yesterday. I’m not sure we are going to be choosing pat’s anymore when we want donuts and kolaches because of this. I’ve seen a lot of new faces recently and maybe people haven’t been trained properly or something but this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended."

"My wife wanted to go here for her birthday. We arrived and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. After 2 hours, we were sat at a table. Upon walking in we noticed several tables that were large enough for our party of 7 that were clean and ready to be sat. I dont know how long those tables were available, but it appeared to us that we could have likely been sat a while before we were. Onto the service...it was mediocre. Food came out sporadically as there was about a ten minute delay between our first dish and last dish being served. The food was the only consistent thing on this occasion and noone had any complaints there. Our server, however, didnt seem interested in refills, or even being courteous. At the end of the meal, our check was brought out before any offer of dessert was made, and they didnt even acknowledge my wifes birthday even though it was requested. Gringos on Cypresswood is a far superior experience and even though this one is closer, we wont be returning."

"I visit this restaurant a few times a year. The hibachi grill is the highlight. The staff is friendly most days, but the hibachi chefs truly shine. Keep in mind that the tip you leave goes to the waitress, not the chef. It's recommended to bring cash specifically for the chef. The waitress doesn't do much at the hibachi grill, yet she receives the tip, which doesn't make sense. Make sure to have cash for the chef. If you prefer not to sit at the hibachi grill, they also have a nice bar to enjoy. The sushi is tasty and the egg rolls are a must-try. Enjoy your visit!"

"Inside, the decor has the vibe of a roadhouse, featuring a lot of exposed wood and various signs adorning the walls. There are advertisements, catchy slogans, and amusing license plates—plenty to take in while you wait for your food. I ordered the lunch special of chicken fried steak for $13.99. They offer four different sizes of chicken fried steak, varying in size and meat quality. The $13.99 option doesn’t use Nolan Ryan beef, but reportedly, you can’t really tell the difference. The three larger sizes do use the premium beef, with the largest, a Texas-sized chicken fried steak, said to weigh 10 oz. All meals come with one side, and I opted for a loaded baked potato for an additional $1.99. Regardless of whether you're dining for lunch or dinner, every meal includes a homemade yeast roll. When my food arrived, it was well-sized and looked delicious. However, after a few bites, I found the dish to be overly breaded. The steak is pounded thin, and while I appreciate some breading, this was excessive, making it hard to taste the meat. I would recommend either ordering a larger portion or choosing a different dish altogether. The service was excellent, which is to be expected during a less busy time, as there were only a handful of other customers present during my visit."
