"This was my first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that it might be a bit stuffy or pretentious, but it was actually pretty low-key. I was very comfortable, the staff was great, and I had a very pleasant dinner. It 's a bit more upscale than most of what 's around the area, and with prices to match, but the food was very good, as was the service. The main menu runs heavy on fish, but there 's other offerings, and I 'm sure most anyone will find something they like. The building and decor is great! Classy and inviting, not stiff. It 's the kind of place that you walk into and think, Ooh, I 'm going to like this! . Treat yourself to a meal at The Vine. You 'll be glad you did."

Quite expensive and short-staffed. So, service was slower than expected and mistakes were a wait time before being corrected. Food was very good and cocktails were excellent.

The Vine is a wonderfully inviting upscale establishment in Elkhart. The culinary offerings, from appetizers to desserts, are varied and oh, so tasty. The staff are friendly, and the service is attentive. The decor mixes the charm of the historic building with contemporary fixtures and seating. A trip home to Elkhart is not complete without dinner at The Vine.

Have been to The Vine before and have always enjoyed our meals. Last night 5 of us reserved the Vault (2 of our party had to cancel). The meals were amazing, service by Madelyn was superb, the owner checked in on us twice and engaged in a great conversation about the restaurant, rock- 'n '-roll and anything we wanted to discuss. Off The Chart great experience.
