"We were there for the Fire Ice festival, and were disappointed to be handed a special menu for the festival, which was quite limited. We ate in the dining room section, thinking it would be quieter than the bar. The noise level was so high we couldn't hear each other speak without yelling. The food wasn't bad, but was mediocre at best. Our party of 4 had the fish pie, the tomato soup and grilled cheese, open face turkey sandwich and crab cake sandwich. The grilled cheese was quite greasy and the added croutons in the soup made the whole dish too carb and grease heavy. The crab cake sandwich had an overabundance of crispy onions. The french fries were good. Dessert of deconstructed cheesecake was like spackle, and the strawberry chocolate chip ice cream was met with a frown from our friend. The service, however, was excellent, and the high point of the meal. We won't be going back."

"Quaint cafe in the heart of a rustic town. I pass through this town once or twice a year and I must stop here to eat. As a single person, sitting at the coffee bar is the option because otherwise, waits to get tables for groups can be a half hour. Today, all I had to do was hear the three specials. Two were vegetarian and one was vegan. I also saw a Vegan Pumpkin Cheesecake in the dessert case. Did not have to look at the regular menu to decide the Spinach Artichoke Pie and Chili was the way I wanted to go (after I heard the chili was vegan they did not mention it until I told them I assumed it wasn't). These were technically two entrees so they came with a side and a scone. I ate these in house and took a Tomato Pie entree to go. With a Basil Mint (yogurt) smoothie, this vegetarian was happy. Perusing the menu online to add this cafe to Happy Cow, I noticed much more for vegetarians and vegans alike. My server was knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan options, although not always labeled for easy determination, and she knew the difference between the two. I don't think you can go wrong by giving this place a try if you get the chance to. Just be cognizant, as we all usually must be, and ask if you have questions about ingredients. Wherever I go, I make sure the server knows I am vegetarian and that they know that means that chicken and fish are not vegetables despite what they may have heard. I am going to message this cafe as soon as I finish this review to urge them to label veg*n options because it would serve them and their customers better. If you visit here, maybe you will decide to inform them, too? Since 4 of 5 stars is the highest permissible rating, I went with 3 because I believe they could do better to communicate/label the veg options."

"eating was just bad. I ordered an breakfast pizza it came with cracked roheier up. I had to take it back it was clear to see that I didn't like it plus I ordered something else and I was never asked about my meal. $76, I'll never come back. it was a very bad brunch, it was my idea to go there I wish we had gone with my dates idea."

"Nice pub and nice bartender but he was by himself taking orders and making drinks...he did a fantastic job but it would have been nice to see him with some help so people didn't have to stand 4 deep when the bus dropped the ladies group off. Chicken Tikki Marsala was delicious!!! My sister had the chicken and leek pie with a side salad...yummy!!! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"So we learned the hard way that this small town you have to have a reservation for dinner otherwise you don't eat. We went early like between 5pm and 5:30pm thinking we could grab an early dinner and reviews here were good. On arrival we waited a while before waitron asked us if we had a reservation and we said No. She proceeded to say we could come back after 8pm, as they only help those with reservations. We had looked at the website and it mentions you can call and leave a message or email about reservations but it didn't mention that you have to reserve and or you would be turned away. Sending an email without knowing didn't seem the way to go so we tried and failed. Interesting part to me is they do takeout she could have been friendlier and said we did have the option of doing a take out order. Instead her attitude was more like don't let the door hit you on your way out!"
