I hadn't visited this place in 12 years and wasn't aware that it had changed ownership, as I'm not a local. However, I used to eat here three or four times and always loved it.

As always, the steak is superb. Nick does the great job on the fire and April runs the house. Great people and a fun time in the dining experience. We happily drive the thirty miles to eat our special meals with them.

There are so many delicious options on the menu! I tried the Little Joe, which is a fried steak, and paired it with fried okra—yum! I'm quite particular about my fried okra, but the one here was just perfect! The steak was the ideal size, not too big or too small. Head over to Simpson and enjoy some fantastic dishes, especially the chicken fried steak!

We had a great time at Trapper Joe's! The waitstaff was wonderful and we had a delicious meal. I had the chicken fried steak (little Joe) which was plentiful and tasty and my wife had a gourmet burger with unique and delicious toppings...she really enjoyed it. We both had the salad bar, which was clean, fresh, and well stocked. The beer was cold, the water was refreshing, and everything was great!
