"Wow. Being a restaurant owner myself, I would fire any one who treated my customers the way the old blonde lady at the front treated my family. She refused to seat a party of 5 on a Saturday night. It was 530. The place wasn’t packed at all. A large table sat open at the front. Here exact words were that they don’t have tables for 5. Nothing about wait time or any other comments, just no. After reading some other reviews I can clearly see there is a theme. We did have a child from India in our group. I see claims of racism in other reviews. It really has me wondering. I can’t think of any other reason she would deny us seating. What a horrible human and a horrible business. Treating customer that way is crazy in this day and age. If it had racists tones involved that would be even worse. No matter what, that lady is a horrible front person. How embarrassing for every one else that works there. I could see the uneasy feeling that came over the nice younger person waiting to help us as the old blonde lady stepped forward. Yikes, they can’t be getting paid enough to deal with that behavior. My recommendation would be to find some where else. There are plenty of other options in town"

"I stumbled upon this restaurant quite by accident, and what a happy accident it was! We arrived close to closing time, but the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome despite the late hour. Little did we know, we were about to have one of the best dining experiences we'd had in recent memory. From the moment we sat down, we were impressed. Their wine selection was absolutely amazing, offering a diverse range of choices to perfectly complement our meal. We started with the cauliflower starter, and it was simply out of this world. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was a delightful beginning to our culinary journey. But the real stars of the show were the steamed clams with pork belly, and the wild cod. The pork belly, oh my goodness, the pork belly! It melted in our mouths, a symphony of flavors and textures that was truly unforgettable. And the wild cod? It was the winner of them all. Perfectly flaky, incredibly fresh, and cooked to absolute perfection. It was clear that the chef had a real passion for showcasing the quality of the ingredients. As if that wasn't enough, the risotto we ordered was also awesome. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, it was the ideal accompaniment to the other dishes. I honestly wish I could eat at this restaurant every day. The combination of the friendly staff, the amazing wine selection, and the truly exceptional food made for an unforgettable dining experience. This is a place you absolutely cannot miss. "Wonderful staff! I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. I usually dislike most gravy, so I had them put it on the side. It was super great!!! It did not taste packaged. The sausage in the gravy tasted great, not to sagie (sage ie? . Hashbrowns were cooked to my liking (cooked on both sides and add salt and pepper if the cooks can. Pre seasoned hashbrowns and cooked on both sides, especially some salt, is a game changer! We also got 2 double bloody Mary's, That's why the cost was so high. $17 for a double, worth it!"

"The food was amazing. We were served chips and salsa before we could get our coats off! Food came out gairly quick as well. You can tell this is family owned and I love it. Staff are very polite. It took me forever to decide. My partner got the carne asada street taco platter and was very pleased. I got the chalupa and enchilada. Both were good, but my chalupa would have been better with carne asada and you could only choose between beef, chicken or cheese. Their salsa and queso are both soo good. We definitely recommend it!! Parking: Parking lot I small and a little confusing with the drive thru. We went at 3:00 pm ish and got a spot no problem. At 4:15 or so leaving the lot was filling quickly. They definitely get good business. This family and the food are great. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Doorways seem wide enough but there are no automatic doors so it could be difficult to open for some."

"Great spot for good eats with a locally themed atmosphere. Small bar up front behind the decadent dessert counter. We stopped by twice in one day! First, to pick up dessert, which consisted of a peanut butter banana cheesecake, an oatmeal cookie sandwich with thick moist cookies full of yummy raisins and stuffed with cream cheese filling and also a Nutter Butter cookie sandwich in the shape of a peanut. Very much for the peanut butter lover! We returned for dinner just before 5 and got seated it wasn't too busy even when we left at 5:30. Friendly staff and good food with some different than the norm options. I opted for the prime rib dip with steak fries. Fries were hot and crispy, and they gave plenty of au jus. The strawberry basil salad with mixed greens and cut strawberries, feta, cucumber, red onion, with chicken added was a great choice too."

"For my meal, I tried the elk—something I had never eaten before and typically don’t enjoy. However, I took it home for my father-in-law, and he raved about it, saying it was perfect! The burnt ends were incredibly tasty, and while the cornbread had a slight kick, it was still delicious. My husband ordered the ribeye steak frites and loved it; I couldn’t resist trying the fries, which had an amazing umami flavor. I also enjoyed a refreshing Roslyn brew that was perfectly chilled. For dessert, Brennan surprised us by gifting each of us a dessert of our choice to celebrate our anniversary! We chose the cream puff flight with a side of huckleberry, which was simply divine. We also tried the crème brûlée; while I’ve had better, it was still quite good. To top it all off, Brennan presented us with a signed anniversary card from the staff, which left us completely blown away. We will definitely return the next time we’re in the area. "My wife and I were here a few months ago and decided to return. This was our second visit since a flood devastated the building. We began with a pitcher of Sangria and ordered Chicken with mushrooms and Shrimp stuffed with crab meat. Both entrees were delicious. A salad was served with the meal. "We were looking forward to a great burger since that's what we got last summer. This time... what a disappointment. We got two classic burgers with no special instructions. Both came at the same time but one was medium or better and the other was very rare. The buns were overly grilled to the point of being crispy like toast. And the fries... cold. They replaced the fries with a hot batch but they were pretty greasy. Time to replace the fryer oil? The cook? or perhaps both? It seemed like a completely different experience compared to last year. They did seem understaffed... two people running the whole place."

"My family ordered online. One 12 Inch Regular Landmark Pizza and one 16 Inch Regular Garlic Chicken Pizza. Both pizzas are OVERWHELMINGLY covered in cheese. Like, no crust cause the cheese went over the side. The landmark did not come with any sauce. So it was basically just cheese with spinach. It was supposed to come with sun dried tomato pesto. They called us right after our online order to let us know they were out of chicken so we requested bacon as substitute. Small bacon bits were clumped together randomly throughout the pizza. We basically ate cheesy bread for dinner."

The combination was delightful, with the gaminess of the cheese, the earthiness of the pine nuts, and a touch of acidity from the peaches perfectly balancing each other. A drizzle of honey and olive oil added an extra layer of flavor. **Chicken Piccata ($34):** This dish was packed with flavor, featuring tender chicken in a delicious lemon caper sauce, complemented by soft potatoes that soaked up the chicken's juices beautifully. However, I was surprised to discover that all entrees started at $32, which felt a bit steep. I recognize that it’s a fine dining restaurant, but I've encountered other places where a five-course meal is priced similarly to just one entrée, such as a porterhouse steak for $120. While I enjoyed the Piccata, I didn't feel it justified the $34 price. In summary, Swiftwater Cellars offers a solid option for those seeking a higher-end dining experience in the Cle Elum area. The food is good, but more competitive pricing and improved service would enhance my overall impression. Visiting this restaurant was a lovely addition to our stay in Suncadia, though everyone's tastes may vary."

"My family has been living in Ellensburg for 10 years, and we’ve tried every BBQ spot in town and beyond. Smokey and his team truly know their craft when it comes to BBQ! While the prices might be a bit high at the moment, aren’t they steep everywhere these days? The portion sizes are generous, so you can definitely take home leftovers for later! This is the best BBQ in town! As for vegetarian options, they do offer a variety, including tofu.
