"The crust was very thin, which isn’t usually my preference, but it was surprisingly decent for an ultra-thin option. I typically enjoy a thicker crust, but this one worked well enough. The sauce wasn’t spectacular, but it was certainly better than most fast-food chain pizzas. The 12-inch pizza was a fair size, enough for two adults, with no leftovers to take home.
We chose the two-topping pizza over the specialty veggie pizza, which had broccoli—something my husband wasn’t keen on, while I had no issue with the idea. The pizza cost $12, which is a pretty standard price given the size, location, and quality. Our server provided us with a loyalty punch card, explaining that after ten purchases, we earn a free pizza, a nice perk for regular customers.
Our pizza arrived just ten minutes after we ordered, and our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She suggested we try the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet if we return, as well as their new specialty burger offerings. It was a pleasure to chat with her, and she filled us in on current cocktail specials.
I took a quick glance at the burger menu and saw they now offer a gourmet peanut butter burger with bacon. I’m not quite sure how I feel about that, but it piques my curiosity. My husband mentioned he’d likely give it a try during our next visit.
In addition to the gourmet burgers, they had all the classic Italian dishes like ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, and fettuccine Alfredo. However, I noticed a lack of vegetarian items, which was disappointing. I would have liked to try the ravioli, but they all contained meat, so that eliminates options for me and other non-meat eaters.
The restaurant’s interior had a nostalgic feel, reminiscent of traditional Italian eateries from my childhood, though with some modern updates like plasma TVs and pendant lighting. The plastic canopies above the buffet, bar, and pickup area gave it a dated look, but it added to the charm in a nostalgic way. They also had a nice outdoor patio for alfresco dining, with tables shaded by umbrellas.
Next time we’re in the area and don’t want fast food, I’m sure we’ll return to Twin's, possibly trying more than just pizza. My husband keeps mentioning that peanut butter burger... Overall, I’d rate this restaurant close to four stars—specifically about 3.8—so I’ll round it up to a 4."
