"I initially was picking up for Toogoodtogo, and I got a box of yummy assorted donuts for approximately 7 dollars. Then I decided to get 3, and they added an extra . (Churro donut, creme brulee, strawberry shortcake) omgg i could not recommend more. I dont like donuts because they usually taste too oily but not these!! "Incredibly fresh seafood!!! Holbox came up first on my Yelp search for lunch in the area. 5 stars is pretty unheard of, especially on this side of Historic South Central. But as soon as I saw the photos and reviews, I had to check it out for myself! The line was long around noon, but the staff are super efficient with taking orders AND serving the food within minutes! I had to get the Live Sea Urchin and Scallops. Although it was a whopping $27, the sea urchin needles were literally still moving as I scooped the meat out! The scallops tasted equally as fresh and the salsa that was mixed in was the perfect balance. Taco de Pulpo en su Tinta $7) omggg that was the softest octopus I sunk my teeth into! I was expecting to struggle with it a little and wonder how I was going to take proper bites of the taco, but each bite was delectable with calamari ink sofrito. The tortilla had just the right durability to hold it all together too. Tostada de Lenguado $9) the wild caught local halibut was also very fresh and I loved the kick from the habanero and aceite verde. My friend got the Taco de Pescado al Carbon $8) and Tostada de Jurel $9). Unfortunately, she found a long piece of hair mixed in the tostada, so that was a buzzkill. She was a good sport about it though and ate everything anyway! Despite that, she thought they were both delicious. Holbox is located in the cool Mercado Paloma with a free parking lot located off Grand Avenue. I love how it's currently decorated with Día de los Muertos ofrendas and flags. I would totally come back and hope there isn't any hair in the food next time!"

"I can't say enough about the exceptional service at this restaurant! Our server was hands down the most attentive and delightful. He provided excellent wine and food suggestions and was knowledgeable. The cozy atmosphere was lovely. I had the branzino and my companion had the squid, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The gelato was like eating a cold BACI chocolate. Delicious!"

"order: cheeseburger and chicken sandwich mcfrowny meals with sprit and koks billy, andrew, louis and other staff were all very friendly and immediately let us know the mcfrowny meal are the most popular. after the order, billy told us the story of herrn charlie and said that one of the co-founders with her family lived in the la dream center when they were homeless and thus return to the la dream center. every McFrowny court bought, returns to the la dream center to feed 7 people. the fries were made with fresh kartoffels and had a beautiful crispy outside area and soft inside, which were lighter and better than mcdonalds fries, and they were perfectly bribed with celalaya salt. the nuggets were perfection, beautiful crispy coating for a beautiful crispy texture and the inner was hot and tasteful. all incubating sauces were good, chipotle had a nice. spicy rim, the grill sauce was sweet and tangig, the green sauce was like a tang green hot sauce without the flavored that tasted on the fryed, and the white sauce reminded me a little of the chipotle. the cheeseburger was made with a thin impossible patty, the grilled crispy rolls with the cheese on it used there were grilled cheese vibes, the tasted great. the chicken sandwich was beautiful, super crispy and hot juicy in the inner. the food was delicious, the staff was warm and friendly, the mission behind the whole restaurant was inspiring, so I bought a hot for me and my friend. will be back when I'm in the opposite."

"This is a little diamond in our rough Pedro's area. It is sooo worth going there at least once a month. The menu is very short, few staff, street parking, BUUUUT the food is delicious and owners are always there and they are super sweet and inviting people. Ofcourse it helps if you do speak the language so you could touch up on your French while enjoying the best wine and dine in town. EVERYTHING on the menu is great even their coffee. So if you are someone who really appreciate good food and service, you definitely should give them a try. Indoor and outdoor sitting available, better to make reservations, and prices are very reasonable. Great wine selection as well. Bon appétit d:"

"this is by far my favorite restaurant in los angeles. it is the most authentic French restaurant with the best eating not in pandering for our American palate, but serves them genuine French cuisine and they know what, it is delicious. small, but expertly designed menu and wine menu. There is no bad dish here. one day this place will be as popular as eating delicious. I will tell everyone now that I know about this hidden gem and come again and again for more. Oh, yes, it's not expensive and they're going away. 10/10"

"I searched for chicken and the reviews were so good that I came here to get takeout while I was in LA! When I told him I was taking it all the way to Arizona, the owner even packed the sauce separately! They even taught me how to reheat and eat it : They were so kind and the portions were plentiful. I stood up and ate a piece of chicken while taking it out, and it was so delicious that I could taste something like this in America!! Next time, I want to try it right at the store I have to come to LA often to eat chicken from now on! I found this place while searching for fried chicken, and the reviews were amazing! Since I’m in LA, I decided to stop by and get some takeout. When I mentioned that I was taking it all the way back to Arizona, the owner kindly packed the sauce separately and even explained how to reheat it. So thoughtful! The portions were huge, and I couldn’t resist trying a piece right there while waiting—it was unbelievably delicious! I can’t believe I found this taste in the U.S. Next time, I definitely want to dine in. I think I’ll be coming to LA more often just for this chicken!"

"This restaurant was a delightful surprise! I was meeting a friend who was staying nearby, and since my friend is a big fan of K-Pop, I thought Korean cuisine would be the perfect choice. When I arrived and noticed that the restaurant was located in a small strip center with limited parking, I didn't have high expectations. However, as soon as the food arrived, all my concerns vanished! Everything was delicious, and the staff member was incredibly sweet. My friend ordered the chicken bowl while I went for one of their spicy chicken trays. I was pretty hungry, but I was so impressed that I ended up finishing everything—something I rarely do! It was truly fantastic! We highly recommend this restaurant!"

"Vince's is still thriving after all these years. This No frills, old school neighborhood market/sandwich shop has stood the test of time. Their sandwiches are a testament to that. As 80s kids in Atwater, we'd walk to the market, head straight to the back of the store to buy our cheap, homemade tasting $0.75 ham cheese sandwiches for lunch. Or, pick up some butchered meat for our Mom's to make for dinner. Today, nothings changed (except I drive here now). You can still get a simple, basic lunch sandwich for a more than affordable price. My go to nowadays is the super mexican (no meat), but, the ham cheese is still nostalgic for me. Try em all. You won't leave disappointed and hopefully pick up an appreciation for simpler, slow paced times. Dont worry, you can use your debit cards here. I said simple not ancient. Lol"

"I came here with my family. We looked up local places and this place caught our eye. I've missed a good breakfast burrito and they did not disappoint. My husband had the chilaquiles with egg and he loved it. We bought two breakfast quesadilla's to split with our 4 kids and they were huge. They couldn't even finish them. And the owner was amazing, so friendly and he brought us our food even though we were sitting next to the counter. If we lived in Cali still we would come here often. "I had dinner at Tomat last night with a friend, and I can't wait to return. We enjoyed our meal on the dog-friendly rooftop, which was a plus. There's plenty of free parking available in the lot where the restaurant is located. We ordered several dishes, and everything was solid, but a few really stood out, like the charred zucchini and tuna tostada — both of which I would definitely order again for their uniqueness! I appreciate that the menu changes with the seasons; the nectarine, long bean, and beet salad was also exceptional! We tried martinis and Negronis, and both drinks were strong and well-crafted. However, we weren't fans of the chimichurri steak on bread and the tuna tomato carpaccio; I would have liked more steak on the bread. "It was our first time at Nick Stef’s and my partner and I were underwhelmed with our experience. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and cocktails were great (he ordered the La Louisiane which he described as “excellent” . The crab cakes were delicious (better than Flemings ; however our steaks left much to be desired. His ribeye was over cooked and lacking flavor. My filet was also lacking flavor, although the temperature was fine. Sides are big enough to share, but were nothing special. Overall an overpriced, underwhelming experience."

"You know you are in a good, authentic place when the food literally transports you to your grandmother's house when you were a child. The black bean soup had this fantastic combination of ingredients that I have not found anywhere but in my grandma's kitchen. That soup, by itself, was worth the trip. The sword fish appetizer was very good and the pisco sour was fantastic (I know, pisco sour is not Mexican, but in any case, it was very refreshing and perfectly mixed). Price wise, well you are in NYC ... 'nough said."

"I visited here yesterday for the first time with my wife and a friend. We got seated right away and the interior appeared clean and well kept. Service was very good and we ordered soon after checking the menu which was quite extensive having options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was well prepared. My wife had the Pastrami Sandwich which she said was excellent. I had the Beef Dip which was good but had some fat with the meat that I had to pick out. It was fairly noisy inside but not terrible. The Steak fries were prepared nicely and were tasty. Our friend had a Turkey Melt and he said that it was very good. We will definitely come back another time to try some of the other menu options. Parking is free with plenty of spaces to choose from. Highly recommended."

"A real gem in the neighborhood I wouldn't expect to find a decent sushi place. But, sushi here us amazing!!! The fish is very fresh and everything I've had here was absolutelly amazing. My favorite lunch place, gets crowded at night as locals know about it. Nit a fancy place and prices are in the mid-range, lunch runs at about $25-30 if you order sushi rolls. But they also have lunch combos for less. Give this place a try!!"

I have been here many times with friends of varying palettes and preferences and there is something for everyone, especially vegans/vegetarians. This is a great place to go to when you want to eat something healthy but don't want to think about it too hard. They have protein smoothies, green tonics, juices, cleansing shots, vegetarian gyros, bowls, sandwiches, coffee, etc. The staff is always super friendly I have many questions sometimes and they graciously answer them all. All around great atmosphere."
