I thoroughly enjoyed my time at 1826 Bistro. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The front patio was such a nice place to sit as well.

Every time I go here I am amazed by the food they create. Tons of fresh and interesting foods. The menu is constantly changing which makes every dining experience a delightful one. And to top it off, the price is so reasonable. Coming from Charleston restaurants it is so refreshing to see a restaurant put out this quality of food with such good pricing.

Every visit is a pleasure! This restaurant presents a wonderful selection of dishes, and we've loved everything we've tasted. The menu showcases locally sourced ingredients and changes regularly, so if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, it’s advisable to call ahead to ensure they can accommodate you that evening. They also feature rotating specials, including a distinctive sangria option.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! We arrived without a reservation and were seated outside in just about 15 minutes. The waitress was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable; she went through the menu and offered excellent recommendations when we inquired. My wife ordered the sangria, which she described as fantastic. I had the catfish and grits while she chose the pork belly. Both dishes were served promptly and were incredible! A Perfect Date Night. On a beautiful spring evening, we had the chance to enjoy a night out while the grandparents took care of the kids. We started our evening with drinks and appetizers before moving to the dining room. We had one of the best meals we've experienced in a long time—elegant without being overly expensive. Although there wasn't a main vegetarian entrée (though I didn’t inquire), I found plenty of options among the soups, salads, appetizers, and small plates to satisfy my vegetarian tastes. The desserts were outstanding as well. The service was laid-back yet friendly and attentive. We can’t wait to come back!

We were turned away from the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation. I mentioned to the hostess that it was only 4:30 PM and there were no customers at any of the tables—absolutely none. My friend's daughter, who attended college with the chef, had suggested we come at that time. The hostess just stared blankly at us in response. We even had to ask if there were any tables available for the next evening. Ultimately, we made a reservation for 4:30 and decided to head across the street to the Blue Heron. Absolutely delightful dining! We were able to advance our reservation from 6pm to 4:30pm without fanfare which was very much appreciated. The decor is very simple, almost austere but elegant in it?s own way and serves as a backdrop to feature the foodand drink which are the real reasons folks come to partake. Jeremy was an very nice young man who took very good care of usthroughout the evening with his calm demeanor and willingness to help us with choices. The menu is small yet adequate and thewine list is one of the best we have experienced in awhile.
