We visited A Fish Called Avalon while on vacation in South Beach for my birthday, and it was wonderful. Service was fantastic, live music was beautiful, and the food was excellent. We will definitely return next time we are in town

Celebrated my Birthday here and was not disappointed. Our server, Marvin took great care of us and made worthwhile recommendations. We particularly enjoyed the grilled octopus. Restaurant was quiet for a Saturday evening in South Beach

We absolutely loved Avalon. Three of us split crab cake, mussels, paella, and key lime pie. Everything was outstanding. Their key lime pie is hands down the best I've ever had. Lastly, our meal was made unforgettable by the great service provided by Marvin. His charismatic attitude made our dinner the best one we had in our short stay in Miami. I can't wait to go back. Excellent food and service! Bang Bang Shrimp,Octopus and Mussels “Delicious “ . Orzo Paella was different than traditional Paella but it was tasty with main lobster, orzo and a combination of fresh seafood cooked to perfection.Marvin’s service was exceptional with the detail of bringing the musician and sing the happy Birthday to my wife with the award winning “Key lime pie “ Thank you to the entire A Fish Called Avalon for an unforgettable night

The dining room is one of the nicest Art Deco hotel lobbies in South Beach, which creates a great vibe as soon as you enter the lobby/restaurant. Scallops, either appetizer or entree, were a smash hit. Other notable menu items were the spicy tuna tartar and chocolate mousse dessert. Sea bass was fresh and well prepared Live solo guitar player out on the front porch could be heard inside the dining room without at all being intrusive, providing elegant background music. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is truly an oasis in the midst of Ocean Drive nighttime craziness

From the curbside Hostess Podium to the dining room setup to the menus and the coordination of the staff, I was personally blown away. I wasn’t expecting much of a departure from the cliché tourist food that is served on most of South Beach. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and class that the staff exhibited. The food was actually very interesting, creative, and a departure from simple concepts–adding a refreshing Eastern Mediterranean Flare right down to the hummus.
