"The third time really was the charm for us at this restaurant. During our first visit in 2022, we felt ignored by the waitress, and the food was served cold. On our second visit, we rushed in and the waiter nearly snatched the menu from our hands without even asking if we were ready to order. However, we were pleasantly surprised during the New Year’s celebration. This time, we had a wonderful waitress who gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and was cheerful despite the busy atmosphere. The food was delicious and served hot. The only downside was the noise level, but with so many guests celebrating, it was to be expected during the holiday. I had sworn I would never return, but my opinion has definitely changed!"

"The food at this restaurant was exceptional, featuring unique ingredient pairings. We tried the tapas selection and did not explore the entrees. Our only critique was about our server, who could benefit from more training in customer service. While not unfriendly, she struggled to make eye contact and had a very indifferent attitude. It's worth mentioning that she seemed to be an exception among the rest of the servers."

"Went here on the recommendation of my daughter but was surprised by the size of the room. Did not enjoy a quiet evening as a neighboring room had loud music playing until 2 am plus the AC fan had an annoying droning sound all evening too boot.. One of the more overpriced rooms I have experienced. Ate at the restaurant with my granddaughter and the food was excellent but it didn't make up for the bad experience vis-a-vis the room. I recommend eating here and staying somewhere else unless you like paying $500+ for a smallish room and a so-so nighttime experience."

"We loved Louisa's place when we visited this morning. We come from Britain and read online that this was a great place for breakfast in the area. We loved both the city of SLO in general and Louisa's place in particular. The best breakfast place we have found in the USA for several years, and the staff made the experience special. They were all so friendly and helpful. Thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful place and gave us a wonderful memory."

"Brought friends who were visiting from out of town and my wife and I had never been so we figured give it a try. After we walked in the door I was happy with the music, left me feeling like I was in Louisiana right away. The building was definitely showing its age but looked well decorated and clean. The staff was super friendly and she put up with our questions and jokes. The food was really fantastic and the coffee was good and strong, very good quality. My wife and I will come back soon for the vegan jambalaya and other dishes we could not try in just one visit. BTW a friend told me the corn bread was very good, very true! A must have as well as the coffee! Thank you for being awesome!"
