"So delicious! We went for the Valentine's prix fixe on Valentines weekend. Everything was perfect. All three starters were fantastic. The pork belly on a furikake rice cake was like an elevated spam musubi. It was cooked to perfection with amazing flavors. The calamari steak on frisee was served perfectly. The soy and blood orange dressing was soooo good. They brought back the brussel sprout caesar that has always been a favorite of mine. The entrees were also amazing. Perfectly cooked filet mignon, a salmon that had the best char on the outside and melted in your mouth. And then the scallop risotto with perfectly cooked scallops. Charcoal never disappoints and this meal was no exception. Can't wait to go back for the new mixed grill platter."

"It feels like one of the last great neighborhood joints is still going strong, but, thankfully, there are still plenty of other great neighborhood joints. You can't escape that feeling here, though--so friendly, packed during peak times, people rubbing elbows indoors and out on the patio. Good cocktails, amazing values on the wine list, and awesome hearty Italian cooking. Scratch-made Caesar salad, sandwiches that can feed 3-4 people, fantastic pasta dishes going many different directions across the menu. The specials are really where it's at here. The bread they bring out for the table is fresh and excellent."

"Cocktails were very well done, the food was very tasty, and the server was very friendly. However, my girlfriend and I both got food poising. We called into the restaurant to let them know, but were quickly dismissed. The staff member who picked up the phone was obviously not interested in hearing our issue, quickly shoeing us off of the phone and not taking our contact info before hanging up. A disappointing experience, and would definitely think twice about going back. UPDATE: The manager reached out and apologized for our experience. She assured to us that she holds the restaurant and staff to a higher standard than what we experienced, and she encouraged us to give Epulo another chance by giving us a generous gift card (a very kind gesture). Although our first experience was subpar, management seems on top of things and is very professional. We will certainly be giving Epulo another try, after which I will update this review again. For the time being, I am updating my rating to 4 stars due to such a positive experience with management."

"I really enjoy her bubble milk teas, but after trying more items from the menu, I've discovered that there's so much more than just bubble tea that tastes great. I also appreciate that they're open pretty late. I highly recommend this place; I always feel right at home here."

"I ordered the Market Roll Trio, which features three half-portions of their different rolls—perfect for sampling. Each roll boasts high-quality seafood piled generously onto brioche buns. The Hot Connecticut Lobster Roll was dressed with butter and garlic, allowing the natural sweetness of the lobster to shine through. The butter lightly coated the lobster, with the excess perfectly absorbed by the brioche. It was absolutely delicious! Next was the Cold Maine Lobster Roll, which included celery and pickles mixed with mayo. I found that sometimes the gherkins slightly overpowered the lobster, depending on the bite. However, my favorite was definitely the Hot PNW Crab Roll, topped with a sprinkle of Old Bay and a delightful blend of butter and aioli. All of the rolls were fresh, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. I also decided to upgrade my fries to garlic parmesan for an extra $3. They came generously topped with cheese and garlic, garnished with parsley. The diced garlic added a nice pungent kick. The fries were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. To wash it all down, I enjoyed a 14 oz Lychee Lemonade, a frozen, smoothie-like drink filled with bits of lychee pulp and topped with two lychee fruits. It was deliciously sweet, but I didn’t find much of a tang from the lemonade. Although it was a bit pricey at $11, I’m glad I gave it a try! I can’t wait to return for more of their soups and more of those garlic fries!"
