Our dinner and appetizers were great and our server was excellent. The desserts were poor and not fresh

Great evening at Branch Barrel. The food was very good. We both had salads and they were excellent. The service was superb. We sat outside which offered privacy and great ambiance. Definitely will be going back

The fried checken was way loaded with salt and inside was over the top noisy. We could hardly hear each other. We dined very early asked to sit outside and were declined. The entire time we were there there were tables open outside. Very disappointing for the price. We won't return. Too many other options in Avalon

The salads at this restaurant are consistently delicious, with dressings that complement them perfectly. However, we were not impressed with the special Coconut Shrimp Appetizer, as the shrimp seemed to be frozen and lacked flavor. The spicy sweet and sour dipping sauce that came with it was tasty. The food was delicious and the service at our table and with our drinks was fantastic! However, when we first arrived, we waited at the entrance for at least five minutes without being greeted by anyone. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty, there were six servers lingering behind the bar, which felt odd. We weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not. The host never welcomed us or let us know they would be with us shortly, making the situation awkward. We stood there for a while trying to figure out what to do. Another couple arrived shortly after us and had a similar experience, ultimately seating themselves before being moved to a different table.

The food at this restaurant was too salty for my liking. I had dined here once before and appreciated the attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes. However, this time the food was nicely presented but overly seasoned. I ordered the grouper sandwich, which was messy and fell apart easily, making it difficult to eat without a knife and fork. The food arrived quickly, but my partner had an empty water glass for most of the meal, likely due to the high sodium content. The server was friendly but only checked on us once and didn't return until it was time to pay. I had to leave my credit card on the table to get their attention. Restaurant posted business hours until and takes reservations on openable near that time. After landing from a trip, we made a reservation for two at and where there before that. We were greeted with a “we are closedclosing” statement. We told them we had a reservation, so they sat us. Then, we were told kitchen closes at Really? Not long after they also told us they were closing the bar in case we wanted another round of drinks.I have two of my children working in restaurants, and we are very sensitive to their opinion of customers coming in right before, or just at, closing time.
