"I recently left a five-star review for this restaurant because I love their Orange Beef and often drive from Southport just to enjoy it. However, I took a friend there for her birthday yesterday and was disappointed to find a $7 price increase and smaller portion sizes than usual. We also had to stop at Walgreens for her to use the restroom, where she unfortunately experienced severe diarrhea. I’ve been to the restroom multiple times today—this is my fourth visit while I write this—and I didn’t quite make it last time. Overall, I'm really not happy with my experience and won’t be returning. We spent $90, including tip, and I left feeling frustrated."

We've enjoyed two great meals at this restaurant, and when our out-of-town friends visited, they wanted to come back. The staff did an excellent job taking care of the kids, and my spicy dish was genuinely spicy! Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 5.

The Vietnamese food here is incredibly authentic, and you can tell that a lot of effort goes into each dish. Our server was not only extremely knowledgeable about the menu, but also took the time to explain each item in detail, which enhanced our appreciation for the cuisine. As former vacationers to Vietnam, dining at Cafe Chinois truly transported us back to those wonderful experiences. I give it a perfect five stars all around!
