"We enjoyed a fantastic dinner during our stay in Carlton. The prix-fixe dinner featured three courses, but if you share appetizers and dessert, you could easily make it four. At $45 per person, it offered great value for the quality of both the food and service. This same meal would likely cost around $80-90 per person in Portland. While the wine list wasn't extensive, it included a solid selection of quality local and European wines at very reasonable bottle prices. Even if you're not staying in Carlton, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!"

"Highly recommended! I'm absolutely obsessed with the barrel salad. The steak bits are fantastic as well, and I genuinely believe you can't go wrong with anything else on the menu. However, I've noticed that lately, the quality has been inconsistent. It seems that when the chef or owner isn't present to oversee things, the dishes don't quite meet the usual standards. They’re not bad, just not up to the high bar I’ve come to expect. Despite that, I still highly recommend this place! Any negatives I mention stem from the amazing experiences I've had here in the past."

"updated I go to this place often fill for breeders now that I have been in town for a while. I love this place honestly, he has a great atmosphere wonderful beer selection and a whole good menu. I have an egg allergy, so I don't eat very often here, but my children love their burgers. A year ago I wrote a negative review because I have an egg allergy and they couldn't promise that my food would be freezing. They don't care about my egg allergy, but they are very friendly and have many other things I like, so I want to update my review to match my experience. I went to this place and expected a big burger in a fun city. Unfortunately, they couldn't tell me what ingredients there were. I have a food allergy and do not know that the content of your food is unacceptable. When I asked that they cook my food in a separate pan, they told me that they would use the same spatula and so on, no matter what I would get cross-contamination. The waitress was flippant and apathetic to my allergies and treated us pretty much like garbage. Overall, the menu was quite lame, the customer service was not existent and I felt like I was a burden instead of an estimated customer. I wouldn't eat here!"

"My sister, the baby and I were having an adventure day driving around and stopped by and saw their menu on the front window and did a quick takeout order because they don't have outside seating and with the baby that is necessary because he's very busy. We enjoyed they're super amazing and delicious truffle fries, the meat and cheese platter that came with fig preserves and a baguette over at the Carlton park across the street, it was a quick enjoyable walk where we had plenty of picnic tables to choose from, lots of freshly cut green grass and the playground to play at when we were done enjoying are meal from The Horse Radish. It was such a wonderful treat and experience!! They have an amazing homemade ranch that is out of this world for dipping those truffle fries in too! Make sure you ask for extra ranch! Typically, I do not eat french fries ever but this was a special occasion and I am willing to break my dietary restrictions to go back and do it all over again!!"

"I found the bourbon cardamom peach cocktail at Park Main to be quite intriguing, bursting with a variety of interesting flavors. However, it could benefit from a hint more sweetness to tie everything together. For those enjoying the patio seating, be cautious, as some benches are beginning to splinter, which could snag your clothes or cause a splinter. The roasted chicken on the chicken salad was flavorful but a bit too strong with the mesquite seasoning. While it had a lovely taste, adding a bit more vinaigrette would have provided a better balance. On a positive note, I appreciate that Park Main offers gluten-free pizza crust, which is fantastic! The tomato sauce on the Margherita pizza was vibrant and delicious, although the crust could have used a few extra minutes in the oven for a crispier texture. Overall, it was still enjoyable. The Jamaican jerk wings were simply excellent and fell right off the bone. I also found all the wines I tried to be quite good. Park Main really feels like a wonderful community spot, and I'm truly thankful for the opportunity to experience it!"
