"My partner and I went to a Mexican restaurant for breakfast on a Friday morning. We decided to try the Steak Mexican Skillet and were impressed with how delicious and filling it was. The skillet came with pancakes, although unfortunately the restaurant didn't have any syrup to go with them. The service was a bit slow due to the crowded restaurant, but the staff was polite and attentive. We definitely plan on returning for dinner in the future."

When I'm in Iowa City, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is consistently excellent, especially the steak burritos which might just be the best in the Midwest! The service is quick and friendly and the prices are reasonable.

This is some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! I ordered their four-pound burrito with carnitas, and it was the best carnitas I've ever tasted. I didn't plan on finishing the entire burrito in one sitting, but once I took a bite, I just couldn't stop!

During my long trip from Nebraska to Illinois, I decided to stop at this restaurant. It was really good! The salsa was delicious and they made the guacamole fresh at our table. "I went to a sushi restaurant for the first time and it was an amazing experience! The food was excellent. I ordered boba tea, crab rangoons, takoyaki, the Philly sushi combo, and mongolian beef. The boba tea and crab rangoons were both delicious, although I thought the portion size of the rangoons was a bit small with only 3 pieces. The takoyaki was a new experience for me, and while I enjoyed it, I probably wouldn't order it again. The Philly roll was excellent, and the nigiri was high quality, although not necessarily my favorite. The miso soup that came with the combo was very good. My partner had the mongolian beef and said it was also excellent. We visited during a slow time, so our wait was minimal and the service was fast. My only minor complaints were that the menu pictures were outdated and misleading in terms of pricing, and some portions seemed small while others were too large. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and will definitely consider returning. "We had both personal pizzas and it was delicious. My husband had a highest pizza and I had the speciality of the evening grill chicken pizza. I had a Sangria and he had a craft beer, Casual very much. Even the staff is casual. The owner came to the tables at least once while we were there. (He stopped with us twice when we arrived and then before he left for the night. Friendly helpful staff, no complaints. Pleasant outdoor seating."

"We love this place and come weekly. We tend to be early birds so as to get a table, sometimes it is busy later on (and rightly so). If we can’t eat in we will do pickup. It is just a pleasure to feel known by the kind and friendly staff and owner, and the pizza is wonderful. I’m also a fan of the cheesecake and fresh made Italian sodas. As a non alcohol drinker it is a real treat to have something that nice. They have a dedicated gluten free oven available and I believe make their own GF crust, which is amazing. "Perhaps the worst meal I’ve ever had in Iowa city and I’ve lived here 7 years. Pork tenderloin was a pitiful portion, only a few bites, and the fries were burnt to a crisp and stone cold. We sent back the fries and got new ones which were warm but also half of them were inedible and burnt and as if they’d been reheated ten times. The bun was toasted but easy to tell it was totally stale. We told our waitress how disappointing the food was and she just nodded. Really she should have got her manager or offered some form of compensation. I also do think that 50c for hot sauce is criminal when they’re just pouring it out a bottle into a little container. "This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience. The ahi poke bowl was amazing! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere, decoration, and everything else were also fantastic. The only issue I had was that it was a bit difficult to hear the server over the music. Additionally, the prices on the menu were slightly difficult to see, as they were printed in a colored ink and the restaurant had soft lighting. However, this may have just been a personal issue. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely return."
