We got some wonderful baked goods here but were a little disappointed no pop tarts on a Sunday morning. Came with my non-vegan non-vegetarian father-in-law and they did not blink when he ordered “2 egg and cheese on a bagel” and just made the vegan version- appreciated that they were kind to an older non vegan person. an amazing fully vegan bakery. everything on their menu is delicious, but I especially love their crunch wraps. some of the bakery goods were hit or miss for me, but they do have great options. i love the overall vibe of the shop; the staff is always friendly, the decor is so fun, and they collaborate with local artists and makers for pop ups. they also do fundraisers for so many great causes, and i love how vocal they are about these issues. can't recommend this place enough

Not only does this restaurant serve some of my favorite food in the country, but they are also unapologetically leftists and punks who make their political stance loud and clear. Walking into this establishment is a refreshing experience, with rules that discourage discussing diet and body sizes, art with anti-racist and anti-cop messages, a bookshelf offering free narcan and fentanyl test strips, a free clothing rack, a community typewriter, local art, and more—all within a cozy space that is as charming as can be. Originally from the NY metro area, I hadn't had a traditional breakfast sandwich on a hard roll in over 10 years until today (back when I was not vegan and living in NYC). This experience took me back. I ordered a BEC and found the tempeh bacon to be a bit too salty for my taste. I'm not sure if it was just that batch or how they typically make it. The roll, however, was fantastic. My non-vegan husband couldn't stop raving about The Cool Cat (HEC hash brown). The pancake was thicker and denser, possibly made with whole grain, which didn't appeal to my 8-year-old, but the baked goods more than made up for it.
