Clayton's Pots Jamaican

I went to pick up a DoorDash order and encountered incredibly rude staff. They yelled at me for something that was not my fault. I will never return to this restaurant again.

I had Clayton cater the j chicken for a potluck at my job, the chicken was finished before the potluck started. The food was so good that I had them cater for my family for Thanksgiving. The prices are reasonable and the food is awesome!!!! Don't hesitate to eat from Clayton's Pots, real homestyle cooking!!

This restaurant was kind enough to provide a meal for the families of the Ronald McDonald House in Philly and when I tell you this is the best meal I have had in awhile, I am not exaggerating. Their beef stew ? is rocking, I can't lie I've only try two things and I recommend the beef stew, overall! Mac and ? was the worst I've ever had my 18 yr old need too be up in there because their Mac and cheese ? I swear I was so disappointed. But their beef ? stew I will give props when due is the best I've ever tasted!

Food is excellent! Had the opportunity to try most of the menu. I would recommend the J Chicken Sandwich with Fries and Steam Fish snapper with steamed vegetables, rice plus peppers. Food price is reasonable, great customer service, and quick service. Food was ready in 10-25min. Will definitely recommend and I will come back again.

The customer service is terrible. Short, terse, aggravated responses from the staff.. And the prices fluctuate according to their mood. My husband and I can order the exact same plate, the exact same size and I guarantee you one of us will pay $11.00 while the other will be charged $22.00Worst of all, the macaroni and cheese is loose ! This cozy little restaurant is a gem. I would have given it five stars, but unfortunately the fried chicken was undercooked. It seemed like it had been prepared earlier that day and lacked seasoning. It tasted raw. Despite this, I didn't have the heart to complain because the staff were very kind. I ended up taking it home and cooking it further to improve the taste.

I'm not one to write reviews but I'm was introduced to this restaurant by my inlaws who I'm visiting out of town I only eat fish and let me tell you something his wife sure knows how to make the perfect fish Monday I had brown stew salmon, Tuesday brown stew snapper, yesterday steamed snapper and today I bought two escovitch snapper one I had the other to take back to PA we don't get good Jamaican food there, my wife had the oxtails which is off the bone good the food is worth every penny

I recently tried Clayton's Pots for the first time and ordered their Oxtail Dinner with Rice and Peas, a side of Mac n Cheese, and Banana Pudding. The oxtails were okay, but nothing special. The Mac n Cheese had some spices that I didn't care for. However, the reason I gave the meal a 4/5 rating was because their Banana Pudding was absolutely amazing! It was hands down the best I've ever had. If you're in Irvington and craving delicious Banana Pudding, I highly recommend checking out this place, even though other menu items may be better.
