"I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a bbq snob. The main thing to keep in mind is that everyone’s tastes are a little different with bbq. However, with that being said, I would certainly recommend Doc’s to anyone that will listen. If you’ve been there, you already know. If you haven’t, then you need to give it a try. The brisket is always amazing; juicy and tender. The pulled pork is delectable. The ribs are perfection; just a little bite to get them off the bone like it should be. The turkey is moist and thick cut. And the sidesoh the sides. I’ve been to many bbq places and the sides are an afterthought. Not so at Doc’s. My go-to’s are the sweet potato fries with salt, the white cheddar mac n cheese, the corn casserole, and the bbq beans. The beans are always full of meat. Mmm, so good. I recently had the brisket Reuben, which is a special on some days. I enjoy trying Reuben sandwiches wherever I go. I’ve had probably 100 different Reuben’s in my life. This was the absolute best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. Perfect toast on the marble rye and loaded with brisket. So good! My wife’s go-to is the pulled pork nachos. Loads of meat and beans and smothered in cheese. Never disappoints. So if you haven’t had the opportunity to visit this gem in Edwardsville, make some time and put it on the schedule."

It was okay, the brisket was not served hot, and was dry, sadly, flavor was okay, so I added BBQ sauce, the bread roll was also cold and tasteless, the girls seemed friendly. The food is good. Sadly, service is not. Ordered 2 meals for dine in and 1 meal for takeout. 1 meal came out about 10-15 minutes after ordering. We decided to get our meat from them for Christmas and they did not disappoint. Got some smoked turkey and ham. They were delicious, and the portions were so generous. Plenty of food for everyone. The only remotely negative thing I would have to say is there BBQ sauce isn't really up my alley, but everyone is so different in their taste palate and I'm picky about sauce. It doesn't really matter because their food is so wonderful it doesn't need to be covered with any sauce. They were so accommodating and terrific to deal with. I'm sure we're going to return for some outstanding BBQ on a regular basis.
