Always a great time! Best food in Ponce Inlet (my opinion)! Chef changes it up with different 'specials ' weekly, and it 's always delicious! Great place to see boats sunsets... on the Halifax River. Ample parking, across street from restaurant. They often have live music outside... sometimes have a smoker going out there also! Can get crowded, so expect a wait. Enjoy!!

We came here for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter, Matt was on point. He was really tentative. He was a joy to deal with. He was very pleasant. The food was GREAT. The oysters were big and tasty. The mussels were just right. BUT,,,,, that sauce on the mussels……. It was enough to make ya wanna slap your momma and take hers. It was that good. I would definitely come back.

Down the hatch had delicious food tasty drinks! The music, food, service, and views are 5 star. We arrived on our boat and were greeted by “Curly” the dock attendant who assisted in tying our boat off and helping us ashore. Go see Jacky and Matthew at the bar! This place is above 5 star. The fresh seafood and steak and pasta menu has something for everyone. Did I say FRESH?! The fish spread is Stellar! And if you are looking for a refreshing drink... The signature Islamarada Rum runner is a Win. The manager Matt and bartender Nina are so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful inside in the a/c or on the outside deck, waterfront. We will definitely be back next year.

You have to try the Parmesan smoked oysters!! My new favorite. Great service from Justin who was fast and professional. There is a wait up to an hour on a Saturday night...but with seafood this good it 's expected. The pagers worked down on the dock so we sat on the boat and like clock work were paged when our table was ready. You might see Salty Bean the cat who belongs to Mr. Stein wandering around. This was a great dinner for my friends 28th Anniversary.

Down the Hatch is a fantastic treasure tucked away on the water in Ponce Inlet, FL. Literally, the end of the road, er ummmmmmmm, Water. There is indoor/outdoor dining. Indoor has A/C and is beautifully decorated with everything ocean and the beach. Huge bar stocked with anything you want. Cathedral ceilings, making it a grand affair. Nice little gift shop inside as well... Outdoor, you dine or sit at the bar in a seaside shanty tiki bar setting. Even on the hottest days, it's nice, shaded, and cool. This place is amazing. From the ambiance of the waterfront to the love music, to the off-beaten path feel of the parking lot, you know you've arrived at someplace great. It was packed when we arrived, pro tip... get reservations or you may be waiting a long while. Expect it to be crowded on the weekends. Lots of great seafood choices. Excellent menu. Food was well received. Fair prices for what I had, obviously market value can change dramatically based on selection and availability, so again... call ahead. Our Jeep Beach group was from Wisconsin, was a delight to find out the owners here are also from Wisconsin! We'll be sure to make this establishment a staple for all future 4x4 endeavors!

We are on vacation here from Idaho, and were looking for a local place with great seafood, and the menu online really stood out to us for its variety and prices. It was a great choice!! Ian was our server tonight and he was awesome! He treated our family with so much respect and attentiveness and humor, as well as excellent customer service and professionalism. He even helped deescalate a situation when some drunk customers tried to cause problems with another server and then apologized to us for the disruption at the end of our meal. And last but not least, he helped dig through the trash to look for our daughter's retainer when it accidentally got thrown away in a napkin on her plate. So y...
