The service at this restaurant is fantastic, and the food is worth the price. We were seated promptly and warmly greeted by friendly staff who were attentive with refills and always ready to assist. We will definitely make a point to stop here again when passing through.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been to. Food portions are big and quality of food is excellent. The best Mexican food around. I am originally from Texas. This is closer than anything I have had state wide. I particularly favor their mango enchiladas. They also sell frozen dishes you can buy in bulk and store at home. It is not on the menu, you must ask. They also offer takeout. You must call and sometimes it can be hard to order due to background noise or thick accents, but it is always worth it.

During a recent road trip, my wife and I decided to stop for dinner. The food at this restaurant is amazing. My wife ordered the Tamales and immediately declared them to be the second best she had ever tasted. The first place Tamales were made by a dear friend's mother. If you find yourself in Mitchell, South Dakota craving authentic Mexican cuisine, there is no doubt that El Columpio is the best option.
