"I'm so happy we found this place. I'm Muslim so it was hard to find halal food around lake placid. This was one place we found fish and chips and salmon with veggies. Thank you for having that on the menu please don't remove it. They were closed on Sunday so we checked a few places menu online, said it had fish and chips and when we got there it wasn't. We called somewhere and they said yes they serve fish and chips and when we arrive they said no. We just ended up getting pizza from the last place we called and visited ugh ,"

"I visited this restaurant based on a Yelp recommendation, hoping to find a spot near Lake Saranac that offered indoor seating. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, it was located by the lake and there was a park with picnic tables just across the road, which was nice. We placed our order, but it took quite a while for our food to arrive. In fact, some guests who arrived after us received their meals before we did. The menu primarily consists of sandwiches—nothing too fancy. The longer wait time and mix-up shouldn’t have happened, especially for a place like this. The food itself was decent and reasonably priced, so I would rate it a 4 instead of a 3 due to its proximity to the lake. If they had provided the indoor dining experience they advertised, I might have had a different impression. Overall, the food was fine, but the service was slower than expected for a takeout deli. That said, it's a reliable spot where you get what you expect."

"we have a reservation after we recommended to eat there by a friend. it is a classic experience that crosses between American farewell and Italian language and reminded us to eat with our parents. I ordered the first rib open face sandwich and my ess companion got veal marsala. all entrees include suppe or salat and with fresh Italian brot. the brot is excellent and the salads were fresh. service is slow, but friendly and friendly. we expected it in this environment. the escaped came out and looked good at first. marsala court was excellent. open steak not so much. Apparently the kitchen had from the main rib and replaced a well made striped steak for the rib on the sandwich without anyone asking if this was in order. it wasn't good. I could see that the sandwich was excellent with the prime rib. the server has apologised and dessert offered to ensure it. overall, I would come back. they charge a credit card fee of 3%, softdrinks afterfilling are not included, and the meal lasted almost 2 hours, but we enjoyed. I would give him a shot if the menu looks good!"

"Greeted promptly at door and seated but waited over 10 minutes for initial service. We both chose a main course which the server then told us they had run out of Beef Bourguignon. We waited another 15 minutes after placing order to receive starters and the excellent bread basket. Meanwhile most other customers were leaving (after 9pm stated closing time). After delivering the main courses our server came to the table three times asking if everything was OK. We felt rushed and not welcome. We then requested the check (no dessert) and took our half consumed bottle of Primitivo back to the hotel. All in all good food quality overshadowed by sense of not being welcome and that we somehow were interfering with the restaurant operations. If the 8:30 booking was indeed too late for the restaurant then they should tell perspective customers that last seating is at 7:30 or 8:00. Not recommended! Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"Friggin awesome place to stop for beer and a bite to eat. First, the beer is very good. I tried several and enjoyed almost all. But then I ordered some food and was blown away with the quality. Killer comfort food made fresh. Hand battered chicken tenderscooked to perfection, check. Mac and cheese to make your knees weak, check. In the warm months they have a roll up "garage "door that expands the dining room out into a patio as well as a rooftop patio (weather permitting). An excellent stop when inthe Tupper Lake/Lake Placid area. Don 't miss out."
